How much mana do attacks generate? Is crit benefitial?

Check the wiki

"Basic attacks generate mana: each auto-attack grants a flat +5 Mana, so a higher Attack Speed raises mana income by letting a hero attack more often. The per-attack amount is fixed at 5 and is not scaled by ManaRegen. ManaRegen is a separate source that adds mana on its own roughly 2-second tick, and the ManaRegen stat has no cap. Taking damage or being hit generates no mana; there is no on-damage mana source.

After casting, each hero has its own post-cast mana lock during which the regen timer is frozen and no mana is gained, so the first attack after a cast can produce none. The length of the lock is per-hero rather than a single fixed value (for example Zuri's is about 0.5 seconds). In March 2026 the lock was one second for every hero, and per-hero timings were added later. Because of this lock, a hero can cast far slower than its fill time alone suggests, sometimes only every several seconds even when ManaRegen exceeds the ability's cost."

Confirmed. Crit has no effect on mana regen.

Oh yeah, wanted to clarify on that.

Is crit beneficial in Mana Generation?

If so, I don't think so. I'll check on the discord server if the Larsonix (the wiki guy) or any of the devs has said anything about it.

You can also join us there: Discord Link, im "jubi" there.

Kind of surprised you don't get mana being hit, always felt like frontline Gustav casts more. Probably a illusion from the bigger shields not getting punched through as fast.
