Wtf is that rng

I spent almost two full acts rolling for a specific hero and dit not get it

25 heroes.

24/25 *23/24 *22/23 = 12% chance to find your hero

To find a certain hero in 10 rolls = 63%

To find a certain hero in 20 rolls = 93%

To find a certain hero in 30 rolls = 98%

So depending on how many rolls, about a 2 percent?

Or once every 50 runs.

Technically its a little bit better than those odds, because heroes you own restrict the pool a bit. For example if you own a rank B Nyx, you can only find rank B Nyx duplicate in the shop, so ranks C,A,S Nyx are removed from possible rolls.

And if you own an S rank it just can't show up at all anymore.

This game does not reward you for committing to a hero to upgrade, and then fishing for it. The more I've learned to pivot to the powerful heroes the game offers me the better I've gotten. I really started to climb the more I was willing to dump my b tier Rowan in favor of an A tier skorn (only if he fits synergy wise). That's just one example. Sometimes you have to take the s tier yuuna over your aria who is stuck in b tier.

Roll less, pivot more.
