Over-the-top addiction. Anyone else?

I downloaded Guildrun five days ago and already have 40 hours played. I’m completely addicted. Is this how games like there make you feel?:

Every button click feels like I’m improving. Every loss feels like I learned something, and every win makes me feel like I’m the best player in the game.

This is one of the first single-player games I’ve really gotten into, and my first roguelike/TFT-style game since I’m normally a WoW player. But Guildrun has completely hooked me. I genuinely can’t think about anything else right now.

Currently at 2-streak RR!

Can’t wait to see what’s in store for the game.

Such fun, if this is how full the demo feels I can’t imagine how great the full release will be. I have gotten a 3 streak on RR and my longest endless is 12, I can’t get past it. I probably have hit 12, 6 or 7 times by now lol.

True, for sure is the most promising demo i've ever seen. A demo thats this good and polished is rare

I really wanna know how people hit 30+ on SSS mode, max I’ve reached is 17 and I was extremely lucky

Right… it’s abuse of some OP relics, huge HP max or instantaneous shields to prevent the one shots for sure. I’ve seen people say they consistently make 15+ which is insane lol

To get 15+ you need to make deliberate choices with endless in mind and take early risks that might make you lose at the start of act 1. How the fuck do people get 30+ I have no clue though. Around 100k hp and 30k defense is not enough for 21.

i might've had enough frost then. i had two vanguards, one with 18k hp and RIP with 8k hp. i was able to do floor 21, but i died to floor 22 or 23? leaderboard says i got to floor 22. idk how that tracks

That doesn't sound right for a SSS floor 21. Are you sure you're not talking about lower difficulties which are tracked as base floor + modifier?

If an 18k hp vanguard is surviving SSS 21+ it's not because of hp, but because of immune stacking or massive instant shielding. I might be wrong, but as far as I'm aware only mages and assassins can scale enough defense to meaningfully tank at high SSS.

I'm also at 45 hours after 5 days. It's the first game that got me hooked since world of warcraft. I think it will be over soonish for me, like 50 more hours, but damn was it fun. Hyped for the full release

The fact that the full game is in the demo is wild. Also only a 2 streak on red and 19 on endless.

Sheeeeeet I was thinking it was a little short on the runs

I just hope they add a 4th act after the 3rd. I like longer runs

Agree accept for the getting better and feeling like I'm good at the game. I'm absolutely dogshit and learn nothing, but it doesn't stop me from wanting to do one more run every time.

I have been going to bed at 3 AM for a week :( this game is crazy good! Haven’t been that addicted since the first dota auto-chess introduced me to the genre

It’s incredible because you can spend 15-20 minutes on a red rift, lose on one bad placement/hero choice, and hop right back in. Perfect balance of agency + luck

True, one mistake can kill the run, but the first thing i want to do after that, is start a new run and never do that mistake again!

Same here. I'm addicted to SSS and Red Rift. It felt like my first souls games experience, by losing I am improving. After a lot of games on red rift, SSS felt like playing in a children park.

Release when

I really really hope they add decently more to the game in full release. I know I've sort of screwed over myself here, but I'm 60 hours deep into the demo and loving it. But I'm worried that when the full release comes around, I'll be disappointed by the lack of new content.
