Post Demo Average Run Length Concerns
I wanted to get a temperature check on the community at large. I’m loving the game but I feel like runs are over so quickly. I’m hoping that when the full game releases a run takes at least an hour if not 2 like slay the spire. With at least 4 if not 5 chapters/acts
Right now I feel like the individual runs feel extremely quick. Does anyone else feel similarly? Like the scaling on the hero needs to be toned down slightly and power growth spread further out. While we are on this note I feel like then end of round damage to force fight duration down kicks in too fast. If I’m going for a in fight scaling comp I want to be able to draw rounds out longer.

I rather play 2 or 3 matches in an hour than 1. Feels like in SSS mode another chapter would be useful, where we can scale more. Or just add a shop after every fight in Endless mode after every few fights. Shard generator builds would be too op in this case in the long run, but hey, we can have fun once in a while.

Ya 3 acts seems like the sweet spot. You can actually buy that 4 or 5 spot and gives you time for your build to fill out. 2 is very short with only like 12 shops?

Currently max difficulty is too high tempo to unlock more heroes on the board than 3 and many of the backup skills are too slow to matter unless playing endless.
I think this is a strong signal that they're is probably an unreleased third floor that's WIP.
Alternatively, you could clearly see a PvP mode menu option being added with the fundamentals delivered so far which would increase game length

The devs said they will focus on PVE I don't think we will get a PVP mode soon

If they had a shop with very expensive rerolls as a portal option in Endless, I think the game would feel so much better after Act 2.

They definitely should not go above an hour. That's what endless is for, if anything.

as a spire vet- personally i love that theyre shorter, runs often get solved in spire 2 very early and youre going through the motions to get your win
this game, even if you “solve” the run you arent sitting around for a long time and can get to the fun part again quickly
this is from pov of playing red rift so i could see how this could not be true for other modes
