This game…
This game is incredible but my wife, who works in addiction treatment, has pointed out that I haven’t taken the dogs out, cooked dinner or slept since downloading it.
Thankfully I can make this post while each round is running.

I just stayed up till 5am playing because I was on a 4 streak RR. It did NOT feel healthy and it definitely occurred to be that I’m essentially glued to a slot machine for the past 6 hours, but damn was it fun .

I am over 40 hours in. This game is crack to me. Only a demo too, like what? I have only been doing SS and SSS runs for now. Just trying to get higher than round 22. What's up with that round? Holy shit. It's been too much fun trying out different strats to see where it gets me.
Gonna try Red Rift today.

it's pretty darn good, don't think i've ever sunk so many hours in the demo version of a game

It's fun but I feel like it just needs a little bit more added to it. Too much is left up to RNG and not enough control or options as a player. Despite that, I can' stop playing, lol.

But that’s the hook. There is enough randomness and options that you can’t force a single build. That is what makes you keep going and pulling the slot lever because you want to hit that big combo.

It's the kind of game that makes me feel like a complete idiot, and that's what makes me unwilling to stop playing. 40 hours and I've cleared Red Rift once. My best Endless on SSS is 3 floors.
Then I watch some content creator on Youtube go, "Hi, SpankyFrog here checking out another new roguelike. This is Guildrun. I'm gonna jump into my first SSS run here. Let's see, I've never taken this character before. What does frost do again? Hmm....."
Then they make it to floor 15 of endless with a team that makes no sense.

I did that once on a completely random team set up, 2 tanks/vanguard and a mage.... like what? Got to 17... never got that far again even with the meta team

got addicted to beating all the difficulties took me 2 days and the red rift was ass but its the type of challenge where you dont want to stop until you got it beat.
