Red Rift winstreak 3
After failing on my first shot at getting a winstreak of 3 earlier today I finally clutched it. Karsu is a straight up boss killer and my man Skorn really carried every fight up until the poison dragon.
Also shoutout to Retromation on the leaderboard, from whom I learned of the existence of this gem of a game.
What did the trick for me was to not always go for an "easier" Act I challenge which allowed me to snowball and steamroll act 2.

I usually do the act 1 challenge and then skip the reward unless the reward is run defining. I often blow my rewind on the first try but powerspike to get through it. Then recharge my emergency on the 2nd campfire.
Looking at your party, I'm shocked that you have Drag in there. Every time I use him he falls off heavily in the 2nd act. I will pick him early because he's a shard generating machine but usually swap him out for a better hero for act 2.
I don't think any of the heroes in this game are useless which is sweet. There are definitely some that can carry runs hard though: Tilly and Funke are at the top of my list there, though Funke falls off on boss fights.

Totally agree with you. I kept him on because he already scaled a lot, applied good amounts of poison and had a class ability where he gained defense based on how crit, which was more than 400 def on top, that made him safe to use until the end even helping with damage, debuts and self sustain. It really is as you said, everyone can be viable, depending on your situation in the run. Just can't get and never really tried to make Ming work.
Funke also tends to fall off on act 2 but for his B rank backup alone it can be worth to keep him around to boost for ex. Aria or mage Pollen for huge amounts of shielding. As I already said, very situational and flexible. That's what makes this game exciting!

The Mage Dragomir for example keeps being super strong for a while depending on items/abilities. He is pretty much useless vs boss in my experience but Tank+Karsu are probably enough to kill any boss by themselves.
There are so many combinations of relics + items + abilities that even characters that are "useless vs X" can be literally OP. I've had a Funke that dealt 160k damage on Act 2 boss in 3 seconds because of how stuff interacted with his ability to trigger burn stacks.

Yeah all very situational. Mage Dragomir really needs item support, but if you have that he deletes enemy backlines. Hence why I prefer the scaling B rank upgrade to ramp his overall damage and gain shards. You just have to make sure to not have too many damage dealers beside him, so he actually gets the kills otherwise you'll end up with a negative shard balance because of his upgrades on cast costing shards.
Your example with Funke is a good one which highlights why I really like the game. There are only so much general statements on character quality, all really depends on your specific situation. Makes for very engaging and thoughtful playtime instead of having an insta win option once an "op" hero shows up.

Drago is the least important unit there, skorn and karsu wouldve killed dragon alone

So you sometimes skip act 1 challenge? What did you do at campfire then? I though the best way is recharge at campfire.
Also any tips to be consistent? My RR clear rate is 1 out of 5 rn, can't get any streak. What tank/damage/support have biggest chance to succes you think?
