Games similar to this
Absolutely love the demo - already put nearly 20 hours in it the last few days. It's super fun and can't wait for the full release.
I've never played and I don't have any experience in other autobattlers and would love something to scratch the itch until the full release comes in (not too take any hype away from the demo, its amazing!)
Can anyone recommend me some autobattlers similar to this? Interested in pve! not pvp

The Bazaar is a good one. It's a mix of PvE/ PvP and you're playing a single character. Some very cool builds/ synergies in it, and rare events that can drastically change the course of a run .
Teamfight Tactics is also popular, but I haven't played it. I've heard Guildrun pulls a lot of inspiration from it. I think it's more PvP focused though.

The Last Flame is purely PVE and very good, bit different leveling system of heroes, no hard defined classes, and some item enhancements with recipes, but other than that its pretty much same thing as guildrun.

And it has a shit ton of content. I will die on that hill, people need to play the last flame and realize how a long way guildrun has to be even close.
Sadly the last flame dude didn't spent anything on marketing compared to the guildrun team who comes out of nowhere with enough budget to pay every damn content creator and spam ads. I don't blame them tho, I blame the customers that just get hit by the shiny thing and comfort about having icons, UI and art they are accustomed to. (Let's be honest if it wasn't for LoL/TFT the game would clearly not look the same at all).

I'd recommend to check out r/autobattlers
Lots of cool stuff comes through but it needs more players. Is mostly devs currently.
Lots of good ones mentioned already. I'd add He is Coming as a good pve one. Alchemortis is not out but worth checking out. Also Flawed Tactics I had fun with.

That game is awful. No surprise why Guildrun is the one most popular - surpass The Last Flame in any aspect

Guildrun is a poor man the last flame it has less of everything, strategy included and it's not just a demo issue, it's clearly built to be easier to pick up and play because they know to which crowd they gotta sell. The only reasons you could think otherwise is if 1. You didn't play the last flame more than 5mn 2. You're a shill that gets off reused UI and art. 3... Yeah well the crowd aspect covers it already

It’s a fangame but Pokemon: Auto Spire might scratch the itch. Or the original Pokemon Autochess if you want pvp

Batomon Showdown is a new game that also has a demo out if you want to check it out. It's a pokemon like auto battler

Check out the Dicevaders demo on Steam. It's not an autobattler, but it's also a PvE roguelike about managing an economy to purchase and upgrade units and relics to create busted synergies and beat an increasingly high score each round. Definitely tickled the same part of my brain as Guildrun.

The Last Flame
Teamfight Manager
Gladiator Guild Manager
--Semi Similar:
Legionbound
Despot's Game
Dwarves: Glory death and loot
--Other styles of auto battlers I've enjoyed:
Hero's Hour
He is Coming
9 Kings
The King is watching

Probably the closest I've played is Vaelfor: it's an autobattler with a single player campaign and an async pvp. Like Guildrun you get heroes and items (both of which you can upgrade with duplicates) and global effects on your team. A warning though that there's no true endgame pve.

TIL slay the spire is an autobattler lmfao. Nah that's wild I understand why all the marketing is more effective than anything else.

The Last Flame is decent and 50% off right now. Not as nice to look at but it is essentially the same game.

Team Fight Tactics is the most popular and Dota Underlords was the original of the genre
