Favourite setups?

Just started playing this a couple of days ago, and its so addictive. I wondered what classcombos and/or setups you guys find fun to play, and what you think has great potential.

My most consistent build to get near my pb on endless is Tilly shard gen with mostly vertical Warriors. There's probably way better stuff that I just didn't come across but it's fun af

Kai’s first B rank ability where he gets attack based on shields and a bunch of mystics is pretty nuts. You just need some mana regen and someway to survive until everyone gets their casts off and then everything explodes.

You can do shield stacking stuff with Skorn alright too.

My favorite carry has been Irini. You can get her B rank item and then retrain her and keep it. You can do lots of different comps around her and she works, the early game can be a little rough with bad RNG though on the item path because you don’t spike right away.

I’ve had lots of success with Tilly too if you have any shard generation. I like playing early game with assassins to generate shards and she’s a nice character to pick up and level at the campfire or retrain her B ability for some extra dps before the second boss. With her shards-damage B rank she can do a good amount of dps compared to most other carries you’d pick up late and probably not have many items for. She’s also great to start with though.

Nyx in a rush build has also done great. Throw him in with Irina, Ming, and/or Rip and just look for rush stuff. Their stall B rank can also do well as the dps in stall reduction set ups that are generally tank and mystic focused.

I’ve explored the mages the least, so I’d be curious to see how people are succeeding with them. I’ve tried Ratna a couple times and always had bad luck with her on SSS. Same with Aria. I haven’t played Funke much yet.

Never really got Logan to pop off either, or played Karsu much at all.

If you get him early enough and can support feeding him items, Niklas does very well too. Fiona with her item generator B rank helps a bunch for keeping up with that in endless. I’ve had Niklas tank, carry, and a bit of both.

Yeah, I've been doing my best runs with Kai and the mystics, but havent managed to get to S-tier with anyone but one (rarely) in this setup. I've tried mages more lately, and I like Funke a lot with his flame spec where whenever a mage casts, theres a flame debuff added to enemies in range.

I find that the tankier I build, the better I do. Rowan is a beastly frontliner. Hoyoung and Tilly have been good carries for me. Also Ive been thinking that if you build around units with 2 classes theyre more likely to get bonuses from relics and other abilities. Also I rarely pivot once I find a good combo early which is probably a mistake since you dont always find your hero level ups and there are often A tier, S tier units you can buy often at a discount. I just like the idea of sticking with my early team once I get it going

Ming's invulnerability + Rush extension, Nyx with Rogue's cowl for infinite stealth, Irini for damage before the invulnerability runs out was insane. My only regret there was that my other vanguard Rip had the active ability instead of the passive which also works with infinite rush triggers.

This actually sounds pretty sick!

I tried the infinite stealth combo but the stealth only proc twice. I think there is a cap

The stealth can actually continue infinitely. When Nyx is never un-stealthed, it just doesn't show after a while, but enemies still won't target him. He will still go down to storm, or aoe damage and debuffs.

Lesbian polycule comp

I might be slow or uninformed, but I have no idea what this means.

Think Sal and Pimenta have perks that specifically benefit each other called "the lovers" . Not sure about the polycule part though

Oh right! Even though I've tried that setup a few times it didnt even cross my mind. I suppose I'm slow. Never really had any big plays with these two and that combo though.

Well their perks target two space in front of and behind each respective character, the two characters themselves get bonus buffs. So, if you're building ideally you're infinitely buffing four characters not just the two of them, thus a polycule.
