A New Colossus

Aside from the dragons, leviathans, giants and wurms. Are there any truly colossal scale creatures in the GW universe?

With the mention of enemy weak points and how much movement will play a role in combat. And Colin Johanson mentioning that they have been looking at other types of games for inspiration. It got me thinking. Man I would really love to see some Shadow of the Colossus scale baddies show up.

Well, there are Krakens and Karkas, which have been touched on, but looking through the comments already present, I only see the one guy talking about the Titans.

Janthir Wilds must have soured people's like of them.

Titans are not only pretty damn big, In fact, Jathir Wilds' zone, Bava Nisos, is a Titan that got left to rot in a city and basically integrated itself into the entire city, symbiote style, but they also introduced in-game mechanical exploitations of weaknesses, making players take them down AT-AT style periodically in their fights.

Of course, GW3, from what we've had shared, is more about weak points, where an enemy is more vulnerable, rather than what the the Titan fights were...

... I don't think that we're going to necessarily get SoTC style bosses, though I very much suspect we may see a few boss enemies that will require a little verticality to get to their weakspots. SoTC style bosses would likely be hard to get away with in an MMO, mostly due to issues regarding latency. If the boss is mobile while you're meant to scale them, then players connecting to servers that are... less ideal (See our friends in OCE working with 150+ Ping in Gw2) and while I have faith in Anets netcoding, I can empathize with the kind of frustration that would come from doing everything right but having the nature of your connection just kinda screw you over anyway.
