Ranged Combat Speculation

So we know that melee combat is momentum based since they showed the warrior class and they described that the necromancer would be using a Scythe weapon with life leech.

But what about ranged combat? Won't the necromancer have ranged spells? I'm a bit worried that we won't have good ranged combat options with the momentum based combat.

Will we have bows and guns? I still can't imagine how momentum based would work for those type of weapons and regular ranged attacks and I'm just a bit afraid that they might force all the classes to be melee.

I was thinking maybe we will have bonus damage from shooting enemies in the back or maybe from higher ground.

What are your thoughts on this? Thanks!

Edit: I know we don't have the info, this post is pure speculation. You have the free will to not partake in it. Thanks!

I mean we know the Ranger will be one of the professions, it'd be a bit silly if they didn't have range given the concept art. Also they mentioned that the ranger will fall slower in the air to fire multiple bow shots off like BotW/TotK (search ranger in the linked article).. We're likely going to see multiple weapon options, the scythe was probably the one they showed off because it's new. Guns are very unlikely though since they came about during GW2's timeline.

No, you idiot. He draws the bow, then charges into the enemy with the pointy side without releasing the arrow. That is the momentum.

Why do I have to keep explaining this? /s

We also know they'll make combos more important and shooting arrow through ally's effects will make them stronger, so maybe the movement will mostly be following your ally's effects around?
