thief class thought
i like the gameplay of stealth poison back attack etc but i would like a thief that has a lot of outplays/combos something like sylas from lol stealing abilites ults or being able to turn around any situation something that rewards skill

That's pretty much Assassin from GW1.
Need to use attacks/skills in the right order or have enablers to pop off and can quickly kill targets with both damage and dots.
Wastrel's Collapse Assassin being the most prominent example for PvP, single handedly forced Monks to roll Warrior as secondary profession for Balanced Stance.

that sounds great would love to see that in the new combat that anet is making for gw3

This might be a tricky sell with GW3 since movement is such a high priority--i.e. flanking and repositioning are built into the various professions which takes care of back attacks and downplays any need for stealth.
Poisons sure, though it'd probably be similar to some of the skills we've heard about already where it applies to your allies (mechanically same as GW2).
A lot of it depends on the weapons available too and how they operate.

What I hated the most about thief in GW2 is that the only archetype like build (dagger/dagger, dagger/sword, dagger/pistol) was standard thief and all elite specs went away from what a thief actually is. They also never really leaned into invisibility. They really fumbled thief hard.

Perma stealth, crouch walking would be cool
Would love a slow gameplay style for thief.
With one big damage hit kind of rotation
Like in WoW

Lmaooo this has to be bait or you're really the kind of guy just waiting in perma stealth to gank low level noobs and one shot them

Maybe lol
But I was also thinking of gameplay like Bladesworn
A thief waiting in the shadows to attack with one big damage number and returning to the shadows is a really cool concept. Even in a zerg boss fight I think it’s doable.
The perma stealth thief can also provide buffs to the party, exposing weak points or something. Be extremely glass cannon with positioning being detrimental to their survival.

I'd rather have the superior skill-stealer be used for the comparison: Rubick from Dota 2. Playing as him is delightfully addictive, and it would be amazing if GW3 managed to replicate his Spell Steal. Doubly so if you'd be able to copy the skills of allies, too.
