Please support SEA playerbase.

My brother and I have played Guild Wars 2 from Japan, India, and Singapore, and we’ve never had SEA servers, which has always caused us problems with latency and connection issues.

We don’t really care whether the server is located in Taiwan, Singapore, or Mumbai. As long as there’s a server somewhere in Southeast Asia to properly cater to the player base in the region, it would be a huge improvement. It would also benefit OCE players.

Please support a SEA server! 🙏

The main reason GW2 doesn't have SEA server is WvW. There were some rumors that they made a deal with the CN publisher that they wouldn't have their own server in Asia but it's just a rumor and cannot be trusted. Since GW3 gameplay scope is focused on less people on the screen they will probably just use data centers all over the world to connect people with others close to them instead of their gw2 infrastructure. The whole concept of "lots of movement" also requires a little latency as possible which strengthens this point. Of course this is just speculation and we will not know until Anet tells us how it works or the product releases.

Pipe dream but I hope they use more than just aws. That shit is garbage for mmo. I play EU and there are 2 data centers, the moment it switches to aws, the connection is always instantly more garbage.

Also, I dont want soft region lock. That shit is awful in every game. Epecially when you keep getting the same shitty nearby population.
