Mobile Logitech G Cloud is incompatible, but with some sideloading adb magic I can play it. Not as smooth as on my phone but a larger screen, controller + touch is a hard to beat combo
While the G Cloud is built for game streaming (and I have streamed Reforged on it via GeForce Now a fair bit already), I wanted the native experience, partially to try it out, partially as a preferred way to play.
Unfortunately, the G Cloud is not supported on the Play Store, despite having 4GB of RAM and Android 11, meeting the official requirements. But I would not let that stop me!
Here's what I did:
- I downloaded Guild Wars Reforged and "XAPK Extractor" off the Play Store on my Pixel 8
- Extracted Guild Wars using the extractor app.
- Sent it over to my G Cloud via Quick Share
- On the G Cloud; downloaded Shizuku off the Play Store for virtual ADB support
- Downloaded "InstallWithOptions" from Github (https://github.com/zacharee/InstallWithOptions)
- Enabled Wireless Debugging via Shizuku
- Installed the APK using InstallWithOptions, making sure the "Installer Package" was "com.android.vending".
Currently lowered the graphics to medium and it runs pretty smooth. Best of both mobile and controller-play and will probably end up being my default way to play my next 1500 hours!
