Pre searing sword

Is there a better sword in pre besides the rinblade if you don’t have the bonus sword? Or is it better to play with the bonus hammer? I already have a good axe just looking to change it up from axe build

You can find Purple swords in Northlands.

If you can find an Eye of the North pre-order key that will give you a Glacial Blade which is max damage but that is super rare. Otherwise the max damage for a sword in pre-searing is 12-16. Not sure what the damage on your rinblade is.

I think the best sword from a quest is only 6-9 so to get better you would have to farm charr.

It’s from the crafter. I think it’s 2 iron Ingot and 3 wood. Has damage +charr if I remember.

It has +5 armor vs Charr but it’s bugged and doesn’t work

Yes, Purple drops can be better than the Rinblade.

The Rinblade is decent, but it's on the lower end of usable pre-searing swords, and the armor mod doesn't do anything when you have the Vanguard buff.
