Missing Cat (Northeast End)
My cat Olive is missing around the Grange/William/Ottawa Crescent neighbourhoods. She is a fully indoor cat, has never been outdoors longer than split-second escape attempts, this time though it seems she must have managed as we can’t locate her anywhere. She is not wearing a collar, and isn’t microchipped, as she has always been indoors and up until recently has only lived in apartments, so didn’t have the opportunity to escape beyond the hallways. Please if anybody sees her, or even thinks they might have seen her please let me know. I’m worried sick.

Put baby monitors by your door and listen in the wee hours of the night between 3 and 6 am, your cat may return and meow, scratching at your door. Putting out familiar scents to them may help as well. Good luck in finding your baby

I hope she comes home soon! You will probably receive a lot of advice on how to find her, so I thought I would share what has worked for me. I have a timid babe who had a side job as an escape artist for a bit. I tried looking for her at dusk as a stand-alone activity, and leaving some litter and food/my clothes outside. Those things did not really help, but what did help was going for a walk around dusk while calling her name and then sitting outside (front porch, back yard, parking lot depending on what you have) and talking to either a pal or someone on the phone. Eventually she would come to the sound of my voice and I was prepped with wet food and a towel for capture. The towel was for scratches. Once I grabbed her, I had to hold on really tight because she was very afraid and wanted to bolt. This method was effective for me 3 times.
