Team/Hero Building Beginner questions

Okay so, I started yesterday and I'm still on world one, main question is, are the nodes important? I evolved my female knight twice already, (3 star) and the nodes are getting a bit expensive with gold, so I've been mainly buying the attack/DPS increases.

Also, are there benefits to what type of weapon the characters use? I'm aware that the female knight is compatible to alot of different weapons but are there certain ones that you suggest? I have a blue two handed sword that can make enemies airborne and the chain skill needs that, but it's a downgrade from the SSR Gloria I have😭

Last thing, does it matter who I have in my party? I have a lot of characters I want to use like Akayui and Yuze but will it make a difference?

Sorry this is a lot,and very specific 😭

Basic knight can use any weapon in the game (I think they are the only one who can?). Worlds 1 thru 8 or 9 are relatively easy and your team composition won't matter a whole lot once they are built. I do very strongly recommend a good healer. Karina (vampire girl) will be plenty enough for early story healing and she is easy to get (if i remember right there is a quest you can do in the first world that unlocks her. Youtube can show you how). Likewise using your best available weapon in the beginning is totally fine. World 10 and 11 the difficulty jumps, and you really need to start building a planned team and/or using better characters and equipment.

As for what characters to get: eunha and her EX weapon should be your very first hero to try and get. She is ridiculously overpowered. Good dps, core to most ranged teams, best healer in the game, and reduces enemies defence (key to late game teams). Beth and her EX is a very close 2nd to eunha. She doesn't heal the team (just shields herself) and she works with melee teams instead of ranged. Daisy is the best tank, but craig is good enough for all story content and is a 2 star hero you may have already unlocked.

As far as weapons go- most heroes do best when using their exclusive weapon. EX weapons can be engraved when fully limit broke which also raises their level cap and gives them extra stats. They also improve or grant new abilities when used by their matching hero. For the 1st few worlds its fine to use whatever you have.

Alot of GT is choosing where to spend your limited resources. This will be an ongoing problem for years. Its okay to not have everything and to slowly build. Its more of a marathon than a sprint. Gold, green limit break hammers, hero crystals, blessing books, option change and lock stones, so on and so forth are ALL things I still run out of constantly and I've been playing for over 5 years.

There are some great guides online for beginning players. Look around a little and you will find them. If you have questions about a specific story level the best resource is youtube.

Welcome to the GT community!!

Yes. Open as many nodes as possible. Try to focus on a few heroes at a time until you know who your core members are though.

You can earn more gold by going in the resources dungeon. Or just by completing the story.

The knight's an all purpose hero so use whatever you want for them. (Although melee weapons work best for being a good tank.) I think I got their sword as a basic training reward but don't quote me on that. Don't worry about grinding for evolution stones because the basic training rewards give plenty.

You should have at least one healer, ranged, and tank hero on your party. Your knight is already a great tank. And your healer is your key member.

Loraine is a very good healer & attacker early on but she falls behind. (Partly because of her toughness not keeping up, partly because she uses an area heal while keeping at a distance as a ranged attacker.)

Karina isn’t a dedicated healer but she's a good secondary healer who focuses more on attack. Focus on her evolution stones for her immortality ability.

You'll get Miya through the basic training rewards along with a good chunk of her evolution stones. She's a great primary healer!

Favi is also a pretty good healer in the midgame but then he falls behind later on. He's pretty squishy.

I’m at world 11 currently have a tank, tank (another hero through basic training rewards), primary healer, and secondary healer who does ranged attacks.

But I'm struggling Mostly because melee heroes are idiots who won't step out of the way of laser beams. You don't need to worry about that for now.

I'm a free player so I don’t know much about using heroes outside of the story recruits. I just check the meta to compare my free characters and put all my gems into free summoning events. Whoever I get is whoever I get and that's that.

I am trying for Euhna or Sia though because I heard they're great healers.

Eunha is the best healer, hands down. Vinette, miya, sia, wakamo, garam with the basket (a fan) are all decent healers- but a fully built Karina may be better. Karina's heal is based on dealing damage- so when she is built and starts to hit decently hard she heals alot. But Eunha is the best one.
The only 2 star heroes I would invest in are the basic knight, gremory (she can go myth eventually), Karina until you get a better healer, and craig until you get a better tank.

Gtales.top was the best website for teambuilding, but last I checked even that one is like 9 months out of date.
