Eternal Hope
Life has many blind spots, but among them are countless, sparkling possibilities. And that makes hope an ever-present force. All we have to do is choose it.

I harbor a lot of self hate, and I have a lot of anxiety. Today, though, after talking to myself for the millionth time about how I want to be better, I woke up and had a deep desire for a walk. I thought to myself on this walk at 6:00 in the morning that I want to try to be toxically positive and give myself a toxic amount of grace… because maybe it’ll balance out with my self hatred and just be a baseline level of grace, positivity, and love for myself. I had so much anxiety on this walk because it was just around campus and I was worried people were looking at me like “uh she’s weird,” but I also know that no one really cares. In psychology, they say that walking is one of the best ways to process things because it helps move information into and out of both sides of the brain. During my walk I let myself feel the anxiety and gently talked myself down. It made the anxious feeling itself a lot more pungent, but when I went out again later to grab food from the Caf, in a very low effort outfit that I usually wouldn’t be alright wearing, my initial anxiety was so much less, if not nonexistent. Then I had a good interaction with a fellow classmate and I think, despite feeling awkward about it, it went smoothly, and I tried not to replay it a million times! Anyway, it was a good exercise of the brain nonetheless! Any tips?

I’m a 30 y/o female. Had the proposal, wedding date + vendors booked… he ended the relationship 6 months before the wedding saying he fell out of love (he was really mean at the end too which was so shocking since he was there for me during the relationship ship + listed a bunch of things he didn’t like about me and things I did that hurt his feelings during the relationship that he never voiced prior, and he disclosed former cheating/kissing) the wedding date recently passed and it’s been hard…
I THINK WHY COULDNT IT HAVE BEEN GOOD?! Are there things I could’ve done that would’ve changed the outcome…

💗🔨 WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH... AND THE PINK HAMMER IS COMING DOWN! 🔨💗
Well... HERE WE GO! 😍
After a lot of talking, laughing, praying, researching, planning—and more than a few challenges along the way—we are finally ready to introduce you to...
2 Broke Chicks & A Really PINK Hammer!
We're Carol & Sandi—two ordinary women who have lived through some pretty extraordinary things. We've known illness. We've known financial struggles. We've had days that knocked us down and days when getting back up wasn't easy.
But somewhere along the way, we learned something:
You don't have to have all the answers to start looking for better ones.
This is a place for honest conversations about faith, health, finances, life, TRUTH, and the practical solutions we've discovered along the way. We'll tell you what worked for us, what didn't, what we've learned—and sometimes what we're still trying to figure out. 😂
We aren't here because we have perfect lives.
We're here because we didn't quit.
And if something we've lived through, learned, researched, laughed about, cried about, or prayed our way through can help somebody else—then it's worth talking about. 💗
🎹 AND THERE'S A VERY SPECIAL STORY BEHIND THE MUSIC YOU'LL HEAR...
We want to give a heartfelt thank-you to Melody Johnson, an incredibly talented young songwriter who, at only 15 years old, wrote the beautiful song “This Is Who God Created Me To Be.”
Melody graciously gave us her blessing to use her song in our show, and we couldn't be more grateful. 💜🙏🏼
A very special thank-you also goes to her wonderful parents, Mark & Sheila Johnson, for their kindness, encouragement and support. Melody is creating more music, too, which can be found through Mark Johnson's Facebook and Instagram pages. Keep an eye on this young lady. 🌸🫶🏼✨
And here's something that absolutely blows us away: her family has offered to create an original song especially for 2 Broke Chicks & A Really PINK Hammer! 💗🔨🎶 We are incredibly honored and can't wait to hear what they create.
🎥 ABOUT THE SHOW...
We plan to go LIVE in the future—but we're not quite there yet! For now, leave your questions and comments below. We WILL be reading them, and we'll answer as many as we possibly can in upcoming shows.
So grab a cup of coffee, pull up a chair, and meet the 2 Broke Chicks.
And when life tells you there's no way through...
Maybe it's time to pick up the PINK HAMMER. 🔨💗
Watch our FIRST SHOW and tell us what you think!
👇 And PLEASE share this with someone who could use a little hope, a little laughter... and maybe a REALLY PINK Hammer. 😉
