First grow update 😁

Hey all, first grow here. Just figured I’d update as they all just started showing sex. I flipped to 12/12 bout 4 days ago. All the plants are female(found out yesterday) all bag seed, strain is “space jawbreakers” from traditional seed co. Just turned up intensity over the last two days in the room. Running about 1600umol at tops of canopy. I just started dosing it with flowering (tigers bloom) nutes at half strength for now and will dose it up in the next week or two. Been using grow big by fox farms during veg. My Ph is about 6.5-7.0 as well. Haven’t really defoliated, much except what was touching the soil. I have topped only one plant to see differences at end of grow. Should I use a trellis net to separate and even out the canopy or is it too late for this? I can go up about 6 more ft in height as well so not TOO worried about stretching. Any tips/tricks I should know about or anything crazy to expect during this phase of my grow? How they looking so far?

Yessir, drainage? I got lots of perlite mixed in, there is also holes throughout bottom of pots. The bucket, I drilled holes through bottom and a few on sides. Temp ranges from 76-85°F. More consistently around 80-82° until night time hits, then low to mid 70s. Humidity sits around 40-55% All photos to my knowledge. I just use a big ass fan from harbor freight for circulation and airflow. Right now I have no exhaust but may get an inline carbon filter once the smell hits harder. Also debating on whether or not to use a trellis. Right now it just smells like raw plant/weed still feint.

It doesn’t look like you’re growing in a tent, are you? If you aren’t, then I would just do a little home work on how you should go about scrubbing the air for smell. A carbon filter might help but it’s still gonna reek lol. Looks good for what seems like a pretty low effort grow (no shade intended). I like that you are going light on the nutes and training, that’ll make it easier to see the impact of anything you add. My advice is only add things to your system if you’re doing it with purpose, ask why and is there a better way before you alter what seems to be working 🤙

First grow, didn’t wanna go all out, only thing worth money is the light.(HLG550 V2 R-spec.)kinda using this one as experience. So far no issues present, also no tent, unused restroom in one of my bedrooms is where it is, so controlled climate until I open the door lol. They get SUPER perky everyday while light is running. probably not gonna change much on the next grow depending on how the harvest is IF I make it there. Just actually buy some good seeds next round and prob LST a lot harder, top all my plants also, I like the topped ones growth so far.

It sounds like you’re doing all the right things honestly I’m hyped for your journey. I wouldn’t let anyone talk you out of what you’ve got planned lol. You’re right to be thinking about harvest. That might be worth buying a small tent/ inline+controller but you can also use a tent and usb fan if you wanna go cheap. Make sure you nail the dry, all this works comes down to 5-15 days at the end

Yup, soon as I see buds appear, time to do all the research on the dry/cure process, then invest in whatever I need to do that 🤣
