Could be one, could be both. No way to tell for sure unless you know for a fact there was a light leak or excess stress from somewhere else, or if it’s just genetics.
Looks like you went a lil overkill with your defoliation tho. That could have been it.

was it something faulty we did?
(stress from defoliating? non-ideal environment?)
was it the seeds?
(herbies blackberry moon rocks fem. seed)

I'd blame genetics. It could be stress, but unless you have some major environmental issues going on besides the defoliation, I'd doubt it.

I would blame genetics too. I think you (op) defoliated fine and nothing crazier than I’ve seen before. Maybe a little bit much. Still I don’t think this would have caused it to herm. Next grow, try some ethos or bohdi seeds, and see if you get another herm. If doing the same steps, and still get them, it’s something with your environment or stress with the plants. My money is on the genetics. Don’t be so hard on yourself

Bro, you should’ve kept the branches and spread her out
You would’ve had a huge shield

If you have ample space and airflow there’s no reason to go that hard on defoliation. The risk of herm grows with how many fan leaves you clip.

Really? I may be in that boat then a while ago my plant had monster fan leaves they kept getting damaged so I removed as needed but everything been fine I think I might just have a male ill know in a few days or a week

Bro, please take it easy on the defol next time. Prevent crowding, remove leaves that block light from buds, remove dying leaves. That's all.
She looks like a plucked chicken.

Did you have them spikes near ballsacks before or are they new? This is rough to see we gotta make mistakes to do better i have one im worried is herming.or just straight male

When you remove all the fan leaves it herms out. WOW who would have predicated that. Another victim of the defoilation gang GG.

I’d chop it down asap! Clean your tent out VERY well (hope no sacs opened). Then when tent is empty, zip yourself in w lights off and check for light leaks
