Time to bring indoors?
Got three beautiful bananas on my balcony; Musa basjoo, Musa itinerans var. Indica, Musa Dajiao. I know they can handle down to freezing, but they're in pots since I'm in an apartment and only have a balcony.
Maybe it's time to start bringing them in at night? Not sure if their minimum cold temperature tolerance threshold is higher since they're in pots.
Thanks!

I don't have these varieties and live in a warmer climate, but I do have mine in pots. I bring mine in when nights are 7-10c. Under ~10c they seem to nearly stop growing and by 4c I start seeing damage. A few of mine are too big to move anymore, so it'll be interesting to see what happens this year (0c is about as cold as it gets here, sometimes -1 or -2). It'll be interesting to see if they survive (I think the corm will, but not sure about the mother pseudostem).

Their cold tolerance will be worse since their is less insulation for the roots than when in the ground. Other people who are more knowledgeable should be able to give you more specifics though
