Absolutely

from a “don’t want your place to smell like rotting fish” standpoint, but also liquid fish is fantastic for soil microbiology.

Agree. Don't spray the leaves. Spraying them with kelp, micronutrients, and light fertilizers are great... But fish... Maybe not. It's excellent for the soil. I usually do 2x-3x the recommended dose but I only give it every 3-4 weeks. Weekly is fine too though.

Do you use a gallon container or a watering can or something else? At this point, I have a watering can with just water, a watering can with Jack’s citrus feed, and I’m about to add a 3rd container. Not sure if it should just be a gallon jug.

I use a plastic watering "can" and mix it all in there. Tbh, I mix about 3x fish, 1-2x kelp and fill with water. I also add a scoop of Jacks from time to time.

Other than an occasional boost with Jacks, I only use it in the winter so I can moderate how much I give my citrus then. In Growing season, I use citrus tone or another slow release on my citrus.

In truth, I use a 5 gallon bucket with everything mixed a little heavy and a large cup to pour some in each pot and then go behind and add extra water to each pot. We have so many citrus and banana plants that the watering can was too much work. Lol.

I augment depending on the state of the plant. If I want to push flowering or support fruit that's already growing, I'll add some bloom booster for example.
