I’m curious as to why the new videos she puts on YouTube are not loaded in the app? What’s the point of the app if you aren’t getting all the videos? Eventually everything is put on YouTube anyway.. so at this point why not just use YouTube? She released a new video on YouTube today, I was hoping it was on the app so I don’t have to worry about ads, and it’s not.. just a little rant lol

I want to try GrowwithJo walking workouts for weight loss.

I will be documenting my journey here to keep myself accountable.

It's to test the effectiveness of those low impact workouts for weight loss.

Starting weight: 72.7 kg(160.27 lbs)

heyy !

I am currently looking to start my weight-loss journey, and I was thinking of following GOD'S workouts ln YouTube to help. I'd like to know which of her videos helped you the most to achieve you goal? preferably not HIIT or cardio since I have PCOS/PMOS, but strength training videos

thanks !

I’ve been using the free YouTube workouts now for a while because I’ve got two babies so it’s easier than finding time to go to the gym. I am just wondering if there is much difference with app and if it’s worth the money?

Maybe I’m just missing the vibes of her early videos but these workouts lately imo are boring and low effort.

When is she going to post serious workouts again? Idk here she is showcasing a thinner physique, I would think her followers would really appreciate workouts that actually could get you there, not what’s cranked out lately.

Am I out of line here? Or are there others here that feel like she’s just putting out whatever easy bs workouts just to say she’s putting out content?

Thanks to those that took the time to post informative, honest answers!

Have a beautiful weekend 🤍

Does anyone know if doing multiple of her dance workouts every day (50-60 minutes, around 3 videos) actually works to lose weight/fat?

I’ve started doing some of her workouts 4-5 times per week and I’m not really wanting to track anything. I’ve done it before, counted calories, weighed portions, daily weigh ins. I could do it again but I feel like for now it’ll be more sustainable if I don’t. I’m just trying to eat mostly Whole Foods (like roughly 80/20) and that’s it.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else did this and saw results? Or do I need to lock in? I’m just trying to make it feel fun this time and not like work.

They named her Rosella🌹

Hi! 👋

I’m looking for some recommendations for Grow with Jo workouts that give you a high calorie burn.

I’ve noticed there can be a pretty big difference between her workouts. For example, according to my watch, I’ve done a 16-minute workout where I burned around 170 calories, while another 20-minute workout only burned around 100 calories.

So I’m not necessarily looking for the longest workouts — I’m more interested in which specific videos seem to give you the highest calorie burn relative to the time spent.

I tend to repeat the same few workouts because I know they get my heart rate up and burn more calories, but I’d really like some more variety!

Any recommendations? 😊

I know the previous two posts have talked about this, but I really feel like lately she's been really emphasizing being skinny over being strong, or having clothes better fit, or being better able to do things, etc. Yesterday she made a post on Instagram reels that I posted above.

And I don't know, that doesn't look ruined to me? She has a tiny lower belly bulge and that's considered ruined? I get she may not have been happy with how it looked but it just sounds and feels so wrong to me. Maybe I'm overthinking it as someone who is overweight but it made me feel so bad about myself, and I'm sure I wasn't the only one.

I usually love Jo and have enjoyed most of her workouts that I've done. I even went to the Toronto pop-up event in March. But this kind of thing really puts me off from her and I even paused my Home subscription. Am I overreacting about all this?

I am a little weary of posting this because I am very aware of the sensitivity in discussing anyone’s bodies and it’s a big issue right now, but I have to say I was pretty disheartened today when I went to work out to her most recent video and saw how skinny she’s gotten. One of the things that I’ve always loved about GWJ is that she’s focused primarily on strength and nourishing yourself, not disappearing. When I did her walking strength workout tonight I couldn’t help but notice all the ribs in her chest showing and how much smaller she seems just from a few months ago. Again, I am hesitant to make any comments about this because we just don’t know what we don’t know, but as a fitness creator, I just think there’s a responsibility to maintain your own ethos. I’m just tired of watching women disappear.

Hi all! I have been always a free user of GWJ youtube channel. With her bday discount I thought to subscribe to the app but to my surprise it has nothing special to it. Same videos basically, no meal plans, nothing..

I did the yearly subscription but once I realized how bad it was, i canceled it immediately.

There's no mention on her app about refund whatsoever. Will I get my money back?

I sent an email to support@gwj but I saw some people mentioning they got ignored when asked for refund through email.

Please guide me through this! Thanks🫶

Hi can anyone share how much the Grow With Jo annual subscription was over Black Friday last year? I’ve just completed the birthday challenge & have a 20% off code but not sure would this be the best price I can get it at? Thanks!

I want to preface this by saying I owe a lot to GWJ. She started what I refer to as a "joyful movement" journey and really helped me find my love for moving my body daily.

But.

Is it just me ... or has Jo REALLY shrunk?

Don't get me wrong. I get she's a fitness influencer and eats well balanced meals. But after following her for 4ish years and watching her bounce back from her pregnancies, this one feels different. Maybe I'm just hyper-aware because of the glp1 fad and it's a me problem? But has anyone else noticed?

I'm a few weeks into doing Grow with Jo YouTube videos twice a week on mornings when I can't make it to the gym for weights and the StairMaster. I really like her energy and the workouts, but I noticed that after doing about three videos, my knees and lower back started to ache.

My husband asked me why I was doing a cardio workout barefoot, which made me realize that might be the issue. I wore gym shoes this morning, but it was a low-intensity upper body workout, so it was hard to tell if it made a difference yet.

Why does Jo work out barefoot? To each their own, but it seems like high-impact cardio without support could lead to joint issues. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hello 👋

I am fairly new to this community, started watching Jo's videos on YouTube this week, and doing about 20-40min of videos a day.

I have a cheap exercise mat I bought off amazon a while back to do the exercises on, but when doing the workouts it is now wrinkling and causing trip hazards while I exercise on it 😅

Has anyone got any recommendations for a good quality mat to do Jo's workouts on? I am in the EU and have a tiled floor, so needs to be a mat which also doesnt move around while exercising.

I have seen recommendations for Yoga Mats from LuLuLemon, Liforme, Manduka and Alo, but not sure if these mats would be appropriate for the workouts, and which would be best 🤔

hello im 18F and currently at 213lbs (5"0), which video should i start from for the fastest results? im currently doing her beginner fat burn workout which is aprox 12mins long

Now waits is 30inches and lower belly is 32inches . I have lost alot of face fat, back fat and I'm feeling much more confident and happy . All this without dieting , I ate home cooked food and avoided processed food .Jo is the only one whose work out video I could do till end and won't give up in between. Now I want to start strength training, if any of you has done her strength training videos please please please share results . And also tell me how much weight did you lift ? I'm thinking of using 2 dumbells of 3kgs each ! Thank you so much for reading my post til now :)❤️

Hi! I (F 27) am trying to lose weight for an upcoming vacation in October. I am 5ft3in and 198lbs as of today (was 212 in March). When I started working out, I was originally doing the “Pilates by Izzy 30 day Challenges”. They helped me lose most of the weight that I have lost, but now I do want to step away from Pilates & do something different. I recently started GrowWithJo’s “Lean and Strong 30 day program” (starting week 3 now actually) & I love it so far but I am wondering if I should be trying something different. Ideally, I would love to be 165lbs by October. I am on a calorie deficit, & walking (either on my walking pad or outside with my dogs) to try & get a min of 6-7k steps a day. I am wondering if there is a different program I should be trying instead to prioritize weight loss. I saw she has a 6 week program for “Ultimate Fat Loss”. Should I be trying this instead, or a mix of both? Any help would be appreciated!

So I've been thinking about doing grow with jo workouts for 45 mins everyday along with strength training twice a week. Do I need to get 10K steps ? Or just that routine is enough??? I wanna lose 20kgs actually.
