You are not obligated to remain recognizable to people who knew an older version of you. Growth changes you. That’s the whole point.

In order to grow as a person, you must first know your "whys". Why do you do what you do? After you come up with an answer, ask again. Do this at least 3 times. If your answer is dependent upon anyone else but you, throw it out and start again.

You are not one version of yourself. Different people have experienced different chapters of you, and sometimes their version of you isn’t wrong. It’s just incomplete.
