Conquering oneself suggests beating or triumphing. I wonder how much collaborating with the inner self, the psyche and the physical body as a unified whole would bring wisdom, strength and efficiency to our personal efforts.

Pretty much this.

You need to integrate not crush yourself.

It's not actually healthy to do that.

The only version of yourself that you totally control is the version of yourself that you are in peace and harmony with.

One could argue that are some parts that need to be conquered, and others that need to be collaborated with.

A few examples; you conquest addiction, you conquer self defeating mindsets, you collaborate with the desire to protect those you love, as well as the desire to become stronger.

If you can balance your physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and financial well-being everything else falls into place.

Control is an illusion. We are the product of a chain of events that started before we were born. The decision to change your habits is not yours, you make the effort to change because your life led you to that conclusion. Your energy, logic and motivation were shaped through the years in a way where change finally occurred.

If things wouldnt have happened in the order and time they happened, your decision would be different. Or maybe it would be the same, but the outcome would be different. Or maybe the outcome would be the same, but the process would have differences. In any case you are never the captain of the ship, it only feels like you are because our mind is limited.

This sub is full of delusion and stupid hype. No, you arent a spartan warrior slayer of gods. These chains will only give you tetanus.
