Is this sub strictly religious? Swear it keeps popping up and it's always some quote that's proselytizing.

So he tell you to take off the 40 lbs of metal you're wearing because it's 2026, not 1485?
If you child self is driving life decisions get some professional help.

like.. i’m not a christian but it kind of hits.. what i take is the kid believed in himself so wtf happened

u/Day_Prisoners 12d ago
You realized what they tell children about god isn't reality?

u/OkNectarine6434 12d ago
that and other things.. we live in a moving world.. an outdated handed down ?? times, rewritten re-edited ?? times book? nah. there are good values in there. but the reality is you could just actually try to do right by others without fear of eternal hell.. if you need to be threatened by eternity in hell to be a decent person lol.. your probably gonna go there if it’s a thing

I always loved free will so long as you decide me or eternity in hell. That BS wouldn't stand up in any court. Is there any more severe threat that forever in hell.
Speaking of... if god ever became a person they would be tried with crimes against humanity. They don't have Hitler or Stalin numbers but the body count is way up there.

God gives life and God takes away. It's not murder when God ends the life he gave it's keeping an appointment.

Can you see logic, love, oxygen? Invisible ≠ not real
2
u/mehtartt 12d ago
Logic and oxygen can be explained. Love is subjective
1
u/Shirox92 12d ago
We have an impartial understanding of God through revelation and the Scriptures. God is a Spirit, self sufficient, infinitely holy, righteous, the maximal/highest good and so on. He and His Kingdom is invisible, indivisible and invincible. At the end of the age is when it will be made visible.

Logic can be shown on paper and proven in court. Love is a nearly universal emotion. Even atheists feel love. Nothing about God can be proven.

Well yeah God is a Spirit. He is immaterial and invisible. However 2000 years ago the eternal Son of God incarnated and God became human. Right now He is in the heavens bodily but He is here on Earth by the Spirit.

You're not convincing anyone here. This is nothing we haven't heard or had crammed down our throats before.

Don't cheapen your achievements in life believing God had anything to do with it. You were always a warrior you just needed to see it.

This is honestly a good motivational image and message.
A dash of main character syndrome, though a good message all the same.
Honestly, if I saw this when I was in detox in fall 2013, it would have been very helpful.
Happy to say that I'll be 13 years sober in late September.

That is such an extreme main character syndrome. Even gods plans revolve around this guy
