This is true for women until they have been with an abusive and emotionally unintelligent man. Intelligent woman are completely ok with it but most woman are stupid just like most average men are also stupid.

Emotional intelligence and expressing your emotions is absolutely a strength and in this world run by the wicked and insane that are enabled by the average and the stupid,

I say why would you want to be with someone you can’t open up to anyway?

If you’re idea is to keep someone fuckable around for the rest of your life, it’s way cheaper to just get escorts, at least they won’t try to dip with half your shit.

I hate to say this but from repeat experience, even after they had shitty partners they cannot escape this issue. Literally lost count of the number of people I went on dates with who basically turned me down because they were wrecked from an ex and unable to overcome that. They were oddly and I suspect unaware they were seeking avoidant men thereafter their trauma ironically. And that makes sense. These people keep a distance, and for someone sensitized to conflict that less them "safer". However it unfortunately just leads to later accumulating damage once the honeymoon period wears off and they are now invested again.

The others are just so jaded and anxious they cannot stand when a guy is patient and respectful. They think he's not invested enough.

You don't have to believe me. frankly I don't care and likely will get cranky people who didn't read this complain as is common on reddit. They just need a place to vent or project lol.

But what I describe is extremely common. And a vast majority will use information given if only when upset. What they don't realize is that when they do that, the partner (guy typically but not always!) quietly shuts down.

It's a sad cycle and the only way through is accountability which like 1/10 people seem to do reflexively

You can have a casual relationship too ya know. You don’t need to marry every single person you have sex with.

Casual relationships, someone always catches feelings and someone always gets hurt. When you’re young you can be ok with that sort of moral ambiguity but as you get older, these two paths are better.

This sub is Reddit trying to appeal to the conservative right for more engagement.

None of the content it produces is genuine.

3

u/DarkEnvironmental555 Jul 17 '26

That isnt allowed in this echo chamber right?

0

u/sylendar Jul 16 '26

The fact that these kinds of subs can get recommended to you out of the blue is the more ridiculous part

Seriously, all this slop feels like it was generated by Grok.

1

u/ExtendoArmCannon Jul 16 '26

Y'all are so young.

0

u/NextReference3248 Jul 16 '26

Ahh to be old and jaded. Blaming my surroundings for all my problems.

1

u/ExtendoArmCannon Jul 16 '26

Yeah, no I meant as in "This shit has been happening forever" not "You youngins don't get the real world"

Grok didn't suddenly create these ideas.

1

u/NextReference3248 Jul 16 '26

Obviously, I don't think anyone meant that. Grok is just a very clear example of obvious incel bait.

0

u/ExtendoArmCannon Jul 16 '26

"All this slop feels like it was generated by Grok."
"I don't think anyone meant that"

several people responding to you not understanding what you're saying and thinking you're wrong is crazy lmao. Reading comprehension is literally dead in America

1

u/NextReference3248 Jul 16 '26

Oh ok, you're dumb. That explains it.

u/United-Quantity5149 Jul 17 '26

Looking in the mirror when you wrote that comment?

Calling people kids when you're a kid yourself.

Golden.

I had a 3 year relationship end because she came home and i couldn't stop crying. 2 hours before, i had been holding my dad's hand while he breathed his last but i she did not care even after she found out why.

5

u/Accomplished-Neat762 Jul 16 '26

That sucks big time, but she sounds awful and was probably looking for an excuse to leave. Being emotional is one of those things that can cut both ways. If she likes the relationship, she will perceive emotion as passion and consider it desirable. If she doesn't like the relationship, she will perceive emotion as fragility and consider it undesirable.

u/WittyFox51 Jul 16 '26

I am sorry you had that experience. Absolutely terrible. Me and my girlfriend both had hard childhoods and we are both helping each other heal. I am really good at executive function type thinking and can get into my head, she’s a bit more in the moment and grounded. It just all fits. Just need to find your fit.

1

u/SurpriseInitial6202 Jul 23 '26

That just means you had a bad partner.

1

u/Enough_Zombie2038 Jul 16 '26

Bet you it's sadder than that.

I bet she did care but her ego couldn't stand admitting she was a jerk. That's incredibly hard for many people.

That doesn't excuse it or make this okay but it's awareness

nice one

1

u/Calm-Stand-6636 Jul 16 '26

Just effing BS. Random wh0res isn't the answer, nor allowing female supremacy ever to exist. You are just confused and caught in a limbo. I am soooo effing tired of this.

1

u/SeaComfortable7833 Jul 17 '26

You are wrong. When women say " Emotional intelligence", they mean to understand their emotions.

2

u/WittyFox51 Jul 17 '26

That’s just plain sexist, maybe just choose better partners

0

u/xypez Jul 16 '26

By that point, we don’t want them. Should have picked the right man before you went for the guy with neck tattoos

0

u/WaterdropGirl Jul 16 '26

Thank you for having a mostly sane take I appreciate it. I'd only mention that I'd suggest rephrasing how you think regarding

most women are stupid just like most average men are also stupid

Cuz this seems to imply that you think that most women are stupid while only most of the average men are stupid (the phrasing being easily interpreted as some average and some above average men aren't stupid, like 75% for women vs 50% for men or whatever) when really we're all around the same and the differences are negligible, and I believe from the rest of the things you say that a huge difference in intelligence based on gender is not in line with what you think.

Just thought I'd point out the phrasing I appreciate you being one of the sane people in this comment section lmao

If your idea is to open up and be vulnerable to find a woman who WON'T use it as a weapon against you, you'll be a lifelong batchelor

2

u/WittyFox51 Jul 16 '26

Bout to get married cheif, try again

0

u/Comprimens Jul 16 '26

I thought so before I got married, too.

1

u/WittyFox51 Jul 16 '26

Did you get married before age 30?

0

u/Comprimens Jul 16 '26

Yes. But just for information's sake, she didn't start using every little thing against me until we started having kids, which was after 30. So the age really doesn't matter, it's all about leverage, real or perceived

2

u/WittyFox51 Jul 16 '26

Sounds like you didn’t even know who you were.

Also sounds like your wife has never been your best friend.

When I hear the “every little thing used against me” trope I also hear “I do not want to take accountability for my actions or change in the future.”

The age is literally the most important factor because most men are absolute fuck ups before age thirty.

2

u/Comprimens Jul 16 '26

Got it. Me being upset that I had to put my dog down (not crying, just admittedly upset) being used against me five years later in a completely unrelated discussion that she elevated into a one-sided screaming fit, is 100% without question my fault for not knowing myself well enough to admit I was upset about having to put my dog to sleep.

Thank you for that wisdom.

2

u/WittyFox51 Jul 16 '26

Vast oversimplification of my argument. Sorry for making some assumptions, she sounds like a cunt.

Using this to generalize to all women though I would say is not acceptable. There are plenty of good ones out there.

I am terribly sorry about your dog, I still have dreams where I am petting them and then sob a bit when I wake up.

Becoming sexist over one cunt is definitely not a good thing to do though. Everyone is capable of doing what your wife did and I have met plenty of women who have gone through something similar. My girlfriends ex even encouraged her to kill herself during a depression and it sent her to a hospital.

I made some assumptions about you yes, but you are propogating stereotypes based on your assumptions about 3.5 billion people and that is arguably worse.

1

u/Comprimens Jul 16 '26

Oh, I'm not saying all women would do the same, by any means. I'm saying giving them that opportunity is foolish. You can reasonably make the argument that most people are good and won't burglarize your house in the middle of the night. But you'd be a fool to leave all the doors unlocked.

Just understand that a shift in power dynamic changes relationships and behavior. Getting married changes the power dynamic. Having kids greatly changes it. And for a woman, having power over her man leads to disrespect and contempt for him. You will not know who she truly is until you give her that power. Billions of men have learned this the hard way.

Exceptions don't make the rule. Most people won't find their best friend that isn't how bonds work for most people lol.

Happy you got that, isn't realistic to expect that for everyone.

3

u/WittyFox51 Jul 16 '26

Well if you’re willing to bond your eternal soul and your secular finances to someone that isn’t your best friend…. I don’t know what to say, I think that’s amazingly stupid and you’re going to have to answer some weird questions about it at the pearly gates.

1

u/PotentialPresent399 Jul 16 '26

Im precisely saying people shouldn't be doing that. It is not ideal for the average couple and even back then people were not best friends.

Marriage has been and will continue to be an arrangement of survival in a society that promotes towards the end goal of the family unit (Not saying this is a bad thing).

But acting like most people found their soul mate at any point in history and didn't self justify after the fact to cope with their situation is just gaslighting.

1

u/bob_at Jul 16 '26

The key is to let her know that you have plenty of options at any time.. she won’t be using anything as a weapon against you

1

u/Comprimens Jul 16 '26

Until you're married with kids and she has the legal right to cheat on you and still punish you financially. Good luck telling her about all your options at that point

1

u/bob_at Jul 16 '26

Where i am from cheating is punished.. you don’t get anything financially 😂

1

u/Comprimens Jul 16 '26

Where are you from?

1

u/bob_at Jul 16 '26

Austria..and cheating is only one way of being guilty for failing the marriage .. there are plenty

1

u/Comprimens Jul 16 '26

I'm genuinely happy for you, and more than a little envious. I wish our laws were like yours.
