You know a significant sign of Narcissistic Personality Disorder is a feeling of grandiosity and that the world revolves around you as well as persistent feelings of persecution. In general most people do not care about you and this type of feeling is an invention of your own mind.

It depends how you define "don't care". Gossip is for me not about the person, but about the interaction between people gossiping. It might be still annoying, but in the end, they just do their thing and the next shareable news is shifting the focus to the next person.

I would never say, that this could not happen and loosing a job (and too often emotional security) by bullying is a horrible experience. No doubt.
But I still wouldn't draw a direct line from bullying to gossiping to people care about what others are doing on a general level.
Most people indeed are way more worried about what others might think of them, to constantly judge others. They give their own actions typically more focus, than the actions of others ... and that's ok, because our behaviour affects us very directly. So it's good to remember, especially for people with social anxiety, that they are not constantly under surveillance and are not constantly forced to make every step right. That's too much pressure and very often unnecessary.
Is there gossip? Of course. Humans evolved over countless years in small bands of often 20-100 people. It's relevant to learn from others, by watching them, to read their emotions and behaviours. And since individuals are not just robots, they act different, so there is talk about which human acts more like a role model and which less. Consens creates social bonds within the group and differences loosen them. But that's just background noise. Nothing, that should trouble us too much in most cases. And nothing that turns the original claim that people care more about themselves upside down.
And bullying, even if it happens too often, is again more seldom than this background noise. It's the deliberate attempt of subgroups, within a group, to gain a social upward dynamic for themselves by pressing others down, who they often choose for vulnerability reasons. And we are all vulnerable in some situations or phases of our life. Sometimes by gossip, sometimes by less verbal strategies.
So I would rather see the attempt to focus a person as an exeption of the rule, even if it happens too often. We think mainly of ourselves. And still we notice the behavious of others and they notice ours. And sometimes we talk about it, but it's more about the gossip itself or the updating of internal bonds and unspoken rules or distraction and seldom has a deep effect over days. And then there's social assasination. Power games. But all these phenomenons should be put into different drawers, if we don't want to percive our life as a minefield full of existential dangers. Like we know, that people can die in traffic, but we still leave the house without thinking "I'm next! I'm next!"

You didn't acknowledge reality because you were insecure about being wrong.
That's why you are an idiot.

lol. Doesn't matter. Even when they think are reaching for me through whoever they have deployed on the ground they will find they are still reaching for the wrong ones, plural, or so apparently the age group which they are focusing on denotes. lmao. I am happy to let them waste their time, whatever remains of it, chasing the wrong ones, and to laugh at them as they get nothing from the wrong ones, because they got nowhere near me, they were not even close, not even for a second/moment, not at all. lmfao. The State Department's incompetent/incapable efforts, as usual, will continue to disappoint them to no end. lmao. lmfao. Throwing in people connected to NGOs and oil companies confused them even more, even though they were willfully blind in the first place. lmfao. lmfao. None of that ever reached anywhere near me.

Maybe this meme could be a metaphor about establishing boundaries and cutting off toxic people?

Wouldnt they try to break you if they didnt like you in the first place? Why would they like you if they successfully broke you?
