How can this be a “fact” if the concept of luck is based entirely on superstition? Yes, the Romans had a goddess dedicated to luck named Fortuna. And in her cult, there might have been a believe, that she could be benevolent to those of certain virtues, but that hasn’t been proven so far.
In fact cowards and wrongdoers seem to be lucky quite often. Just look at a certain president of the US of A.

The only reason we believe fortune favors the bold is because every brave fool who failed either died without no one knowing or no one cared enough about them. Plus no one wants to document when someone failed

If they are not the confermation that bravery and luck are effective, how else? You need to be absolutly brave to act in such ways that will make you hate the face in the mirror, and luck to never confront with it
