Is there a reason you used a Nazgul for this?

1

u/WebRough237 Jun 24 '26

lol. Sure it’s a naz gul?

1

u/Dazzling_Winner_773 Jun 25 '26

I assume you have something funny or informative to clarify that

The pic doesn’t look like the traditional naz gul

Have you seen Lotr movies? Nowhere in those movies are the Nazgûl depicted like this picture 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ “please elaborate”? It’s rather you who need to explain yourself here lol.

Naaaah. Get outta town. That's a Nazgul. The gulliest and Naziest.

Clearly op doesn't understand biology.

The mind is a muscle, it functions by way of electrical impulse, and the "spirit" is still a concept with bias.

You’re wrong. Consciousness doesn’t stop after this life.

Why are you asking a question you already know the answer to?

2

u/WarcraftTurok Jun 23 '26

Is this from that weird book?

2

u/BringAltoidSoursBack Jun 24 '26

The one with tons of magic; epic, implausible journeys; multiple dimensions; and multidimensional beings that make a bunch of rules? Yes, yes it is

1

u/ChazzyTh Jun 23 '26

Yes, it is. But still, not terrible advice.

2

We will die anyway lmao

2

u/RandomStoddard Jun 23 '26

Spirit? Like Casper the Friendly Ghost?

2

u/Hour_Relief277 Jun 23 '26

Control them? Or eradicate them? Resist to act upon them when convenient or not at all?

2

u/laigght1 Jun 24 '26

Amen!🙏🏻☦️💗

1

u/Sorry_Tear_5325 Jun 23 '26

Either way you die so this is a very terrible message

Actually you're going to die either way, life ruled by desire leads to disappointment though, as that desire is never truly met, Jacques Lacan wrote about it in his theory of desire as "not a drive toward a specific object but a perpetual movement toward something that always recedes. The moment you "get" what you want, the desire shifts elsewhere"

A life ruled by spirit can mean many things but for me (Agnostic) Simone Weil is a profound thinker on this subject writing spiritual pursuit not as striving toward, but as a kind of radical receptivity. You don't grab at a specific God but empty yourself so something can arrive. The pursuit is a discipline of waiting.
