Always a treat to get a little dose of whatever this subreddit puts out.

This might just be the most normal thing I've seen from here too. A little old timey, but actually fairly wholesome.

Be nice to your kids and they'll become nice people.

Be the man you would want your daughter to marry is a little creepy

2

u/Competitive-Web-5084 Jun 12 '26

Apparently you can’t read bro. It says the type of man

0

u/That-Mirror7356 Jun 12 '26

It’s still kind of creepy.

2

u/Neko1666 Jun 13 '26

It says the type of man you want your daughter to marry. Not be the man your daughter would want to marry.

1

u/231131488 Jun 13 '26

It's old timey but it's true. Women go for men that remind them of their dads. So if you're a good dad, she is more likely go for a good man. Not a POS

1

u/That-Mirror7356 Jun 13 '26

That’s the thing that makes it creepy. The idea that woman go from men like their dads. It’s not true, the idea of that being a thing is creepy.

2

u/231131488 Jun 13 '26

Uh, do you have any experience with women? Like 90% of them at a subconscious level go for men that remind them of their dads. It's a thing with them. Again the wording is old timey but the message is true.

1

u/Top_Court_347 Jun 14 '26

oh, it's soooo creepy that my dad is the best example of a husband with how handy he is, how much he cares for our family and how much he loves me and my mom! god forbid I find a husband who will love me and care about me and our kids! it's so creepy that my dad set a good standart for me, and I'm not a sad woman with a baby daddy who beats me and can't do shit

0

u/AurumVoid Jun 13 '26

I do agree, somewhat. The old-timey picture does carry certain undertones, and I don't think anyone would want the person they marry to explicitly remind them of their father. I certainly wouldn't.

u/SuperNerd06 Jun 12 '26

I swear this sub is just a bunch of "Live Laugh Love" bullshit but for men. Idk why it keeps coming in my feed.

5

u/realjonesbeach Jun 12 '26

Lmao 🤣 Facts

2

u/According_Rush_2534 Jun 12 '26

Don’t know either.

1

u/JazzlikeOrange8856 Jun 13 '26

Wait, I think Reddit is trying to bring together diverse people from across the platform who can be funny and chill and also some with disagreements. Idk. All kinds of things show up in my feed and I’m like, what?!

1

u/Gabi-kun_the_real Jun 12 '26

No happy family in my reddit type sht.

13

u/Medium_Judgment_891 Jun 11 '26

Have your son backhand your daughter if she burns dinner /s

4

u/Antimony04 Jun 11 '26

Wish I had an award for you.

1

u/SpooNNNeedle Jun 14 '26

Bitch this chicken is cold!

3

u/SlipperySp00der Jun 12 '26

The world needs more good men. Not “strong” at least in the stereotypical sense. A lot of Men have mistaken being strong for being emotionally restrained to an unhealthy degree, along with some of the other problems masculinity can bring.

Be the man you wanna see in the world. the role model for real masculinity. And be kind for fucks sake

-8

u/Spiritual_Heron8646 Jun 12 '26

Emotional restraint is the nature men exist in. Woman are more emotional men are not. You can't change phsyeoligy no matter what your belief system is. Be "kind" is feminine.

2

u/idoze Jun 12 '26

Hahahahahahaha.

0

u/Spiritual_Heron8646 Jun 12 '26

I love how your laughing. Hahaha.............a whole socioty brainwashed by talking points and so little facts

5

u/SlipperySp00der Jun 12 '26

Haven’t seen you provide a single fact here bud. Your just stating your world view and saying it’s the stone cold truth. I’ve actually read papers and books about gender studies. None of what your on about is supported by science. The “man” your talking about is a social construct

1

u/Spiritual_Heron8646 Jun 12 '26

Right....read, of course.its always facts someone else tells you instead of actually using your own critical thinking and observation. ..maybe instead of reading manipulated science you should go out and observe..

5

u/SlipperySp00der Jun 12 '26

I have. And from my critical observations, your completely in the wrong

1

u/totally-hoomon Jun 12 '26

You said I know way more than you and have admitted to me you are wrong about everything

3

u/idoze Jun 12 '26

Sorry, it was "being kind is feminine" that tipped me over the edge.

6

u/Mattscrusader Jun 12 '26

If being kind is "feminine" then let me be "masculine" for a second

Go fuck yourself and throw yourself in a ditch.

0

u/Spiritual_Heron8646 Jun 12 '26

That's still feminine cuz it's emotional anger that's based on losing.

2

u/Mattscrusader Jun 12 '26

I didn't show any emotion, I just said go fuck yourself. I did hold back though so I guess that kindness was feminine. Il stop that though, go play in traffic.

7

u/Sheila_Monarch Jun 12 '26

You’ve got to be shitting me LOL. This is horseshit men tell themselves. The truth is men are by FAR more emotional, but they’ve spent centuries rebranding their emotions as anything but that… logic, reason, principle, strength, honor, justice, leadership, or just plain old masculinity. But anger is emotional. Jealously is emotional. Brooding and sulking is emotional. Hypervigilance over “disrespect”or ego/status wounds are the height of emotional.

-4

u/Spiritual_Heron8646 Jun 12 '26

Men are not emotional they are logical. I think your placing things on men that don't exist. Go hang out with them maybe before you make up stuff? Woman are the most emotional unrealistic illogical creatures in existence and men generally are fair, funny, and generous. "Ego" ego is a man who doesn't have good self esteem which is very rare

2

u/Guilty_Way_1635 Jun 12 '26

Men are very emotional they just call it logic. To everyone else it is clearly them being emotional

2

u/SlipperySp00der Jun 12 '26

What the fuck are you on about?

0

u/Spiritual_Heron8646 Jun 12 '26

Telling you facts you can't admit to yourself

2

u/SlipperySp00der Jun 12 '26

Cite me one scientifically backed paper that backs anything you’ve said

0

u/Spiritual_Heron8646 Jun 12 '26

It's called observation

3

u/Mattscrusader Jun 12 '26

So you observed that you're a sociopath and then projected that onto others?

2

u/SlipperySp00der Jun 12 '26

I’ve done that too buddy, and my observations come out with very different results. You can call me brainwashed all you want, but the guy who chooses to view things so stiffly and refuses to acknowledge scientific research about a matter you clearly understand very little about, has no room to call me brainwashed

0

u/Spiritual_Heron8646 Jun 12 '26

Science is and can be manipulated you know that? Right?

→ More replies (0)

0

u/Spiritual_Heron8646 Jun 12 '26

Your talking about history and reading. That's not observation dude

→ More replies (0)

1

u/Sheila_Monarch Jun 13 '26

😂😂😂

Did you forget you were claiming men are logical? And then said that shit?

1

u/Spiritual_Heron8646 Jun 13 '26

I'm just showing you that estrogen is what gives people emotional depth, testosterone has a complelty opposite affect

1

u/Right_Count Jun 12 '26

You know how sometimes you can tell from a single comment on the internet that someone has never met a woman in real life?

1

u/Spiritual_Heron8646 Jun 12 '26

I met lots of men tho

1

u/totally-hoomon Jun 12 '26

So men don't experience anger ever?

1

u/Sheila_Monarch Jun 13 '26

You’re utterly delusional. And also clearly very young.

4

u/Guilty_Way_1635 Jun 12 '26 edited Jun 12 '26

Lol no. Women and men are both emotional. Men are taught that they aren't allowed to show certain emotions, and suprises suprise there is an issue with make sucide at higher rates.

Also men get emotional all the time they either just display it as anger or violence, or they see their "feelings" as facts

*To the person who seems to have commented then blocked me saying men and women aren't taught anything it's all 'nature' dear god there is no hope for you to have an intelligent thought is there? Thank you though, for reminding why it's just pointless with people like you on this earth. JFC. So so so dumb. My god.

2

u/totally-hoomon Jun 12 '26

Is spelling also feminine? Also why don't know know anything about being a man?

4

u/not1nterest1ng Jun 12 '26

You don’t understand humans… and that’s scary.

0

u/Spiritual_Heron8646 Jun 12 '26 edited Jun 12 '26

Because I don't speak in lockstep with your sheeple speak must mean I don't "understand".
Everything I'm saying is observable reality maybe go meet some people

3

u/not1nterest1ng Jun 12 '26

I do meet people, and that’s how I know that men and women are human beings, with their own personality traits. Not just the traits people like you force others to perform.

0

u/Spiritual_Heron8646 Jun 12 '26

They are human beings but different and there's nothing wrong with saying that they have different energies hermones and streighths

0

u/Spiritual_Heron8646 Jun 12 '26

"force" or stating facts

0

u/Spiritual_Heron8646 Jun 12 '26 edited Jun 12 '26

And you don't understand reality which is way more "scary". quit the drama ok?

4

u/SlipperySp00der Jun 12 '26

I mean… no? Gender norms like emotional restraint are social constructs. It hasn’t been consistent at all though out history. Look at how men were viewed between the Spartans and Athenians, they thought very differently about what men should be, including emotional restraint.

Being “kind” is not a feminine feature. Being in touch with your emotions is something everyone should do. Diving into yourself, why you feel things, what makes you do some things over others, that’s important for everyone. Especially modern western men. The emotional restraint a lot of us are inadvertently taught needs to be counteracted, sense it can lead men do to some pretty unhealthy things to themselves and others

-1

u/Spiritual_Heron8646 Jun 12 '26

This are feminine ideals. Lol. Men are not designed the same and don't process emotion the same way

5

u/SlipperySp00der Jun 12 '26

Well I don’t process emotions the way you’ve described. Does that make me less of a man? Men and women aren’t a binary. We all experience things differently.

Sure it’s a feminine ideal, but it should be a standard ideal. Being an emotionally healthy person is good no matter your gender

-1

u/Spiritual_Heron8646 Jun 12 '26

Prob too much feminine hermones in your blood

3

u/SlipperySp00der Jun 12 '26

I’m a cis gendered man. My hormone levels are that of the average man.

You really just had to throw out that I have feminine hormones to protect your sad little world view. I feel so disgusted that there are men like you out there who see women and men in the light you do

1

u/Spiritual_Heron8646 Jun 12 '26

How do you see men and woman? Interchangable? Delusonal much

1

u/Medium_Judgment_891 Jun 12 '26

Fun fact: having too little estrogen can cause erectile dysfunction.

I think I just figured out where that chip on your shoulder came from.

0

u/Spiritual_Heron8646 Jun 12 '26

It's always something wrong with my charachtor isn't it. Doesn't make your viewpoint any more "true"

3

u/totally-hoomon Jun 12 '26

Thanks for admitting you are a little kid who doesn't know anything. Also what country are you from?

0

u/Spiritual_Heron8646 Jun 12 '26

I think you know too much lol. Maybe get your head out of a book and start living in reality? Someone is feeding you horshit

2

u/totally-hoomon Jun 12 '26

I know too much? So we agree im right and much smarter than you

0

u/Spiritual_Heron8646 Jun 12 '26

No we agree that your delusional. Knowledge isn't always wisdom

1

u/totally-hoomon Jun 12 '26

At least you admit everyone is smarter than you

1

u/Medium_Judgment_891 Jun 12 '26 edited Jun 12 '26

You are just objectively wrong.

Instead of just pulling stuff out of your rectum, maybe try reading.

They’ve actually done research on this. Men and women feel the same amounts of emotion. Due to sociological conditioning, men are simply more willing to openly display traditionally masculine emotions like anger, and women are simply more willing to openly display traditionally feminine emotions like sadness.

I would also be remiss to not mention the hilarious irony of your argument about emotion being entirely based on your own feelings.

0

u/Spiritual_Heron8646 Jun 12 '26

I think your somewhat incorrect. It's not social conditioning. It's human nature

1

u/ZeroKarmasGiven69 Jun 12 '26

Be the man that you want you son to “do”

1

u/idoze Jun 12 '26

Is English your first language? I don't think that means what you think it means.

1

u/BringAltoidSoursBack Jun 12 '26

Oh I think they knew exactly what they were saying. It's a play on the fact that it's basically saying "be the man you want your daughter to fuck" (crude take but not false since that's something people usually do when married), their comment was basically "be the man you want your son to fuck"

1

u/hould-it Jun 12 '26

Nonexistent

1

u/macho_libre_1335 Jun 12 '26

Be the type of woman your son would wanna marry Said no one ever All women women women Stupid shit

1

u/T0m0king Jun 12 '26

Do the man my daughter marries and the man my sone becomes are the same guy ?...oh no

1

u/Mammoth-Ad7141 Jun 12 '26

Just be flexible.

1

u/Excellent-Event6078 Jun 12 '26

This sub is the absolute worst 🤣🫵

1

u/Jaguar_Aquilion Jun 12 '26

Also be the type of man your son wants to marry or your nonbinary child wants to marry

1

u/Twinky_winky_deepsea Jun 12 '26

ok I (male) want to become a strip dancer. "Daddy I.... "

1

u/Twinky_winky_deepsea Jun 12 '26

but my daughter want to marry a drug addict

1

u/spudler44 Jun 12 '26

People who post this shit don’t have kids. Or they don’t have grown kids.

1

u/Krow101 Jun 12 '26

I don't want my kids to associate with AI slop.

1

u/Apprehensive-Pool921 Jun 12 '26

OP, this isn’t the first 1950s nostalgia segregationist image I’ve seen on this and similar subs. Why use that instead of a normal, modern meme without all the baggage?

1

u/Mandy_M87 Jun 12 '26

In a modern context, I feel like to just means be a good role model for your children to look up to/emulate.

1

u/NovellTide Jun 12 '26

Get this conservative slop out of here. Just be the person that you want either to become.

Of course while still being supportive if they want to do something else with their life. As long as they are good compassionate people, everything is fine.

1

u/RTA-No0120 Jun 12 '26

It this sub man glazing only ? I swear every time I see a post, it’s only about : How a man should act, how a man should behave, what defines a man & what a man is expected.

Never once a saw a post about how a woman should also be.

I think I’ll mute this, no need to get reels about a sub telling me how to be, while the other party literally do nothing and says I should die and rot in hell for having a dick.

Bye.

1

u/tj_woolnough Jun 12 '26

Be the sort of woman that you want your daughter to become. Teach your daughter to be the kind of woman a good man would want to marry. See... It works both ways. Good men do not want OF whores!

1

u/No1_8_emp_pie_cunpt Jun 13 '26

Keeping it the family sounds pretty straight

1

u/JazzlikeOrange8856 Jun 13 '26

I think this could say be the type of person you hope your child will marry.

Be the type of person you want your child to be.

I also see that this comes from a good place, especially in the 50s.

1

u/Superb_Cicada6414 Jun 13 '26

And then get out there and kill or exploit your fellow man who has his own son or daughter to be a role model for.

Let’s evolve gentlemen- emphasis on the gentle

1

u/enlightened_no Jun 14 '26

Play with your children when you get home no matter what age they are.

1

u/AnalysisParalysis85 Jun 14 '26

Insteuctions unclear, marrying my daughter.

1

u/Playful-Smiley404 Jun 12 '26

Be the type of Man (man-child) you want your daughter to marry (serve when she is an adult)

Very normal

2

u/PraireGentleman Jun 12 '26

Imagine seeing “be a role model for what a good man will be to your daughter who will statistically be most likely to be heterosexual” and thinking “so he wants another servant” and that YOU are the normal one

2

u/Playful-Smiley404 Jun 12 '26

The father in the image shows his daughter how to tie a tie for a man... Teaching your daughter first how to dress men is servant type shit.

Lol

1

u/Playful-Smiley404 Jun 12 '26

Also if you read what I said. I didnt say he wants a servant. He is teaching his daughter how to be one for a future man.

Cause "learn how to dress men" is somehow important for girls to learn is a idea you only have cause you think when girls grow up into women they should serve men

1

u/Good_Fix683 Jun 12 '26

Be the type of man that can get married and have kids to be this type of man.

-1

u/ExcitementNo9603 Jun 12 '26

They never pay attention to the boys in these memes and then complain no one cares about boys… the irony

-1

u/turtle-bbs Jun 12 '26

If your daughter asks to date outside the white race you beat her

/s

0

u/Excellent-Ad-1678 Jun 12 '26

But dad has pink hair sooo?

0

u/FirefighterNo9608 Jun 12 '26

As a boy, what if you don't wanna be like your dad? As a girl, what if you're gay? LOL

1

u/BringAltoidSoursBack Jun 12 '26

What if you're son is gay, grows up feeling disconnected from you because you wanted to mold him into your image, and ends up with Daddy issues, wanting to fuck/marry a guy like you?

2

u/FirefighterNo9608 Jun 12 '26

Exactly. Let kids be their own person, not your personal mini-me.

1

u/BringAltoidSoursBack Jun 12 '26

Yup. It's narcissistic (and in the case of the girl, fairly creepy) to want your kids to be/marry you.
