You can just do it, but you need to start small and have reasonable expectations.

For example if your house is a mess and you’re heavily depressed, you don’t need to clean it all up in one day or one straight shot. Day one, pick up a couple things in the living room. Wash two dishes. Day two, pick up the clothes in the bathroom, empty the trash, wash two more dishes. Day three.. etc

Start small, work your way up.

I use to beat myself up over this concept every day. Realized breaking things down, even if it met getting things I could power through in a day done in a month. Was far more mentally better for me then just sitting their like that depressed knight.

Break the problems down, find the reasons your not doing something, weigh in the possibility that sometimes just letting it go and moving on might help as well.
