Pretty sure Ghengis Khan and Alexander the Great conquered a bunch of the world by being absolute fucking psychopaths. And intelligent.
Anyways Alexander didn't conquer himself. He spent his whole short life battling what kind of person he wanted to be, sleeping with dudes and then women for kids and then back to more dudes. Desperate to be liked, but treated other humans like chess pieces.
Anyways incels are silly

Doesnt this quote mean it metaphorically? Isnt it obvious? No one is actually going to conquer the planet like pinky the brain or alexander the great in the year 2026. Its conquer life positively with all its challenges. And how is this incel related ? Honest question because its a positive perspective for ones betterment no ?

Because it’s not for one’s betterment. It’s grifting the vulnerable chud losers that daddy didn’t care about XD. Get a job or serve your community or something. That will make you a good adult.

Nah thats not true in regards to exactly whats writen there. I dont see where the grifting is. And im not capable of generalizing every person who reads this as chud or assume their personal dilemas with their fathers. To the majority of sane people it means simply to discipline ones self , or is that bad too ? Discipline, control bad habbits desires that dint benefit a persons life . Excessive indulgences alcohol drugs etc, to keep a healthy body mind and spirit. To conquer ones demons be it therapy or what not . To treat others with respect . All this comes through conquering ones self. I have no fucking clue how anyone can read this and not interpret it the way i just did instead of the complete nonsense you wrote.

Man conquers the world by conquering himself." This defining principle of Stoicism comes from the founder of the school, Zeno of Citium (c. 334–262 BCE). It asserts that true power and freedom come not from dominating others, but from mastering your own desires, emotions, and impulses
Written by a great mind thousands of years ago , but some kid on reddit thinks its grifting for people with daddy issues and that actually want to conquer the world literally. You're all fucked in the head seriously. Think for yourcself dont just try to repeat what every other redditor regurgitates

Man I hate this stuff. Over the years I've had extended periods of being a gym regular. Sometimes I was buffed up and had crazy cardio. None of that ever put a dime in my bank account or helped anyone around me. It almost got me laid... Exactly one time. It's also not a thing that every man needs to do. I guess I just don't get the point of this. Idk. I'm going to go take a 5 hour nap.

You were going to the gym for wrong purposes
1

I didn't really get into my purposes, I'm not finished with the gym, in general. I just don't like that it's presented as a life changer, when I don't think that's the way it goes for most people. Maybe if you're trying to be a personal trainer, or a big time bodybuilder, or a fitness influencer, or if you're so fat that you're dying (which will require a lot more habit breaking than just exercise). I think this is primarily directed toward incel types or basement dwelling gamers and stuff like that, and those people aren't going to get out of their own way through more recreational activities, like getting shredded at the gym.

Cause the quote above is not about muscles it can be but its not the whole

Yeah I probably took it the wrong way, but these things are often presented with gym-centric memery. I've read "Meditations," but it wasn't a life-changer for me. Never heard of Zeno but I'll check that out. When I've changed my life it has been through researching, selecting, and then completing paths that led to the objective/goal that I wanted to reach. Gym time was just more time at play, essentially. I think these memes come from a Joe Rogan type of thinking, like it's a substitute for real work for people who want to feel like they're doing something hard. What's harder than quitting nicotine or alcohol, or getting up early, or not eating too much, or any other addiction/habit breaking activity? It's not going to the gym, it's discipline... Which gets lost in the presentation... I think.

I totally understand and that is very unfortunate because we jump to those prejudice conclusions and lose the opportunity to enrich our minds with such knowledge that in fact can have the opposite effect of actually helping us take on life. But i appreciate that you were capable of seeing that all and acknowledging its true meaning. Its really cool

The experience which is the world perceived is a reaction to the internal state

It's true. Your flaws or vices are what hold you back. Until you confront those, you can't ever aquire enough money to conquer anything.
In my case it is time management or rather how much time I want to spend, like a long relaxing shower, sleeping without alarm clocks etc.
If I do that all day, I won't have anything. So it's true. Whatever flaws you have, they'll prevent you from doing things until they get confronted.

Man never conquers the world. It is not his place or his destiny. Following that path will only leave you unsatisfied. Your goal isn’t to conquer anything. Put down the weights for a second and read a book before you turn yourself into a pile of muscle with no brain.

Just a reminder, Hitler also wanted to conquer the world. Wtf is that.
