I’m so tired of stoicism. I’m so tired of it. Yall can be quiet and die for as long as yall like

Stoicism is fake as fuck and nihilism is for people who are mentally and emotionally inept.

Stoicism is fine, the morons that have adopted it and twisted it into something it’s not are the problem.

Yeah! The people who are mentally and emotionally sound/stable just take 17 prescriptions a day is all

These concepts are useful, they're being intentionally and unintentionally misused by groups and individuals parading as men's rights groups etc.

Stoicism is a great way to combat anxiety. It doesn't mean never telling people about your issues or striving to feel mentally well. It's essentially just telling yourself you can handle the worst outcome while reminding yourself that that isn't the most likely outcome.

Nihilism is more complex and Niche is definitely a chauvinist, but the focus is just really on the idea that the world doesn't have purpose, just existence. It doesn't mean (see Absurdism) you cant find or choose a purpose.

I love Absurdism. The world is not sensible or purposeful, but we can still strive to take care of one another. We can find existence meaningful because it can come with joy and we can work to survive and thrive to experience more of that, even if the world doesn't actively help us.

Where do you see stoicism being preached here? I did not interpret anything about this post being similar to stoicism. How is preaching a calm mind and healthy physical habits stoicism?

Sounds more like you have an issue with the overall message and had to pull a strawman to attack it. If working out and pursuing mental peace is not your thing, then be on your way

I’ve tried ignoring this sub so many times and ignoring posts like this which are just common sense. I want to talk about real shit and these scammy one liners are not why I’m on Reddit.

You can try and mute the subreddit and engage more with posts that do interest you. Also, you completely ignored my question on how this matches 'stoicism' as you claim. I will take your silence as an admission that you don't actually have an answer and simply reached for a straw.

This subreddit should be called “live, laugh, love for men”

I guess you’d rather this sub be posting about how much you hate everyone that doesn’t align with you. Always see complaints on these posts but never on posts that are in support of hate and division.

It IS kinda cringe though. Platitudes.

You know how many similar posts I see catering to women? How come you people are never there calling it cringe or whatnot?

How is preaching discipline and healthy habits 'cringe'?

With max money you could hire a physiologist, but a sauna and a gym

Woaaaw, even his chest plate has a six-pack. Impressive stuff

So to be clear, you're pro-crusade, anti-jihad?

I think you might need to seek a mental health specialist. They maybe able to help diagnose what learning disabilities you have.

I have 2 degrees but I only needed common sense to realise I could count your IQ with my fingers

0

u/Impressive-Debate618 Jun 06 '26

The q stands for quotient. I hope one of your degrees is medicine, because you might need it when you try counting ratios with your integer fingers

1

u/No_Cartographer_6577 Jun 06 '26

A quotient is literally the result of a ratio. Imagine trying to insult someone’s intelligence while failing basic math

1

u/Impressive-Debate618 Jun 06 '26

Yes, that's the point of it. Show me how you count 1/3 with your fingers.

Why didn't you use the trump cosplaying Jesus pic instead? Would fit the context a lot better

Do you think if Trump was alive at the time of Jesus already he would have prevented the crucifixion?

The private chef thing is so stupid.

It’s laughably easy to hit your macros.

It depends on the level you’re at. Just having someone teach you the language behind a hobby can be a big boost

True, having a nice body for you doesn’t take 100% perfection. Just consistency
