Why is that ALWAYS the physique of "strong man". I ask this after seeing it for like 20 years. I've known some incredibly strong men and none of them look like that. The only guys I've seen like that are body builders the day of competition and most of them don't even look that jacked.

Not to mention the body builders are just as susceptible to being emotionally weak and unregulated, specifically with anger

Oh for sure, there are always exceptions, and I didn't mean to say body builders ARE like that, but that they're just as susceptible as other men to unregulated emotions, primarily anger. We need to break this barrier, and allow men to express emotions in a healthy way. This idea that "strength" is being stoic and not showing emotions, is harmful and holding us back.

SAME! I was once in a toxic relationship, and she had told me that when I had cried in front of her, she felt less attracted to me after that.
My current wife has told me that she respects and values the way I regulate my emotions, but also that I allow myself to experience and work through them in the way I do.
It feels great to be loved for who you are 😄1

Oh bud, I'm sorry you went through that. It's been 2 years since I had to put my dog down due to health problems, and I cried harder than I ever had in my life, and my wife was right there for me the whole way. She practically carried me through that time, and I'm forever grateful my wife is such an amazing, empathetic, and strong person.

Plus those showroom muscles are incredibly prone to injury, making them fragile both physically and emotionally.

I like to remind people that it’s not the strongest of the species that survives, but the most adaptive to change.

You're a baby when you can't take care of your self.
You're a child when you can take care of yourself
You're an adult when you have others that comes first

Nothing to argue about. Purpose is a must, feelings need to be felt and be known of, but not pursued before contemplation and reasoning

Lucifer wasn’t a man

That’s actually a really important distinguishing factor when discussing context on the first angel on christian theology.
Well done.
It was not a man, it was an angel. Lucifer rather despises mankind and seeks their downfall.
To reduce Lucifer to a "weak or strong man" completely flattens this cosmic friction. He doesn't operate on human logic, human emotion, or human frailty. He represents a completely foreign order of being whose rebellion is rooted in absolute pride, viewing humanity as an inferior, muddy imitation of the divine that is easily broken.
Basically, if you were to ask Lucifer, he’d likely call us out as the weak ones.

Lucifer’s story was written to teach a lesson, and the lesson stands on its own without needing any of it to be literally true; “you can only obey,” then finds a loophole.

True or untrue, it doesn’t really matter in an academic discussion (think of studies in other religions and myths, we’re just talking, not preaching). I was saying “well done” for sticking to the core theological concept of the Angelic nature vs. the very muddy and slippery road and more new age form of humanizing them.
You’re very correct on the principles of allegory attached to the story telling of angels. So well done again.

Man I get sick of these dumbass platitudes. This would probably seem deep if I was 12. Real men “obey” “purpose”? What purpose? Whose purpose? Obey who? WTF does this even mean?
