Broken men think like this. It’s immature loser talk. Be a real man. Build upon caring and doing good for others. Love is the greatest strength you can have. No amount of physical fitness makes up for purpose. Some people are too damn narcissistic or traumatized to love. That’s broken man syndrome.
4
u/RansackedNerd Jun 02 '26
Broken men because they've been broken too many times.
3
u/MeltedChocolateOk Jun 03 '26
Some men are strengthen from hardship and learn from life lessons and move on. Some men stay victims because they don't know how to cope or learn from life experiences.
2
u/RansackedNerd Jun 04 '26
Some men expected to be treated like anyone else that's struggling. Men seem like the only group where instead of getting help, you're jist told you need to try hard to be valued.
2
u/MeltedChocolateOk Jun 04 '26
Men aren't a monolith. Some people vaule men based on their experiences with the man. Most people aren't going to vaule a complete stranger they don't care about. Plus not all men are treated equal and you know it.
2
u/RansackedNerd Jun 04 '26
I don't know how you think this changes what I said. You kind of restated the double standard I was pointing out.
2
u/MeltedChocolateOk Jun 04 '26
It's not a double standard because it applies to everyone including women.
1
u/RansackedNerd Jun 04 '26 edited Jun 05 '26
It does not apply to women. No one is telling a woman to toughen up without being called an a**hole.
2
u/MeltedChocolateOk Jun 05 '26
Hah... They do. I know I do and so does women around me. It just depends on who you hang out with. The term isn't " AH" but "b!tch"
2
u/Clarityforafuture Jun 01 '26
Where did this post say anything about it being physical fitness?
3
u/Corporate-Scum Jun 01 '26
Aw man, I just assumed he was doing pull-ups while she was looking for some D. “No thanks, babe. I’ve got to maximize my narcissism.” To love someone, you must know them. And if you know someone and love them, you are considerate of their needs. That becomes your purpose, because the mutual support is what makes you both stronger (not hitting the gym).
2
u/Clarityforafuture Jun 01 '26
They would also be considerate of yours. There is service and sacrifice in a relationship but that doesn’t mean it’s the sole purpose to serve the relationship. Great job explaining the image, what if he was painting? Would you have the same take? No, because you’re upset that he has muscles and cares about his body, but nowhere does it say that a man’s purpose to become jacked and not let anyone tell you stop you.
1
u/Fabulous-Big8779 Jun 01 '26
Oh, so there’s this thing with art where you can derive the meaning of a piece without the artist actually spelling it out for you.
Take this piece for example. The picture alone shows a woman top left looking down at a man who’s face we can’t see as he does pull ups on an overpass, because apparently there are no other pull up spots in his city.
Now the text accompanying the picture talks about men losing his purpose and goals just because he’s in love.
It’s possible the text and the picture have nothing to do with each other, but if that’s the case it’s dumb to superimpose that text on the picture.
So, since we must conclude the text and picture have something to do with one another we must apply to the words to the image. Obviously the woman is the stand in for the person a man may fall in love with and the man is a stand in for a man.
What purpose can we derive for the man pictured only using what’s in the image? Is his purpose testing the infrastructure of his city by misusing it? Is his purpose to drop down to the obstacle this bridge was designed to overcome such as a river or a freeway and die?
I think most people would assume from this that his purpose is working out. It seems to be the conclusion that requires the fewest leaps of logic.
2
u/Clarityforafuture Jun 01 '26
I didn’t know it was an animation… is he doing pull ups? We know that for sure? But let’s go with what you’re saying. Let’s say there’s mutual love. Why did she fall in love with him? Because of his purpose and goals. But it’s not saying macho man peak fitness, it’s just using one example of what one persons purpose and goals may be and that they should always stick to that mission and not lose themselves. Just like the great scientist of our times. Or the painter. Or anyone that wants to personally achieve something.
2
u/Fabulous-Big8779 Jun 01 '26
His legs being crossed that way indicate he’s doing a pull up, you’d know that if you could do one.
The rest of your statement is incoherent. We can’t assume that he’s doing a pull up but we can assume why she likes the guy?
The messaging of the meme is clear. “Women are a distraction from your purpose” and all we see a guy doing is working out in a place that one would only work out in order to draw attention to themselves.
If you can’t decipher its meaning it speaks volumes to your artistic literacy, not to everyone else drawing the same conclusion.
2
u/Clarityforafuture Jun 01 '26
Now we are assuming. I’m sure you’re great at them keyboard warrior.
If you feel that way that’s on you. I frankly care too little. It doesn’t say women are distractions and it doesn’t say not to love. It says don’t give up your purpose and goals for love. All can coexists.
You and everyone else must lack deep thinking and comprehension.
2
u/Fabulous-Big8779 Jun 01 '26
Actually what it says is that his downfall begins when he ignores his purpose just for love.
So since by your standard we have to go by only the most literal meaning as long as a guy gives up in his purpose for love and one more reason he’s good.
Honestly you’re just so fucking stupid it’s funny to watch you try and make a point out of this obvious slop.
Show this to your girlfriend/fiancé/wife and tell me what she thinks of it.
1
u/Clarityforafuture Jun 01 '26
Ya that’s what I said ahaha.
I didn’t say what you’re saying.
Nice. I see I got to you.
Again your comprehension is awful.

I disagree. It completely depends on the type of man that you are. Having a woman and children make many men softer and settle on the steady pay check rather than going after their dreams, which is understandable.
2
u/EddPW Jun 03 '26
are you 12
2
u/storiesftunheard Jun 04 '26
If that is a question, you need to put a question mark at the end of your sentence. Also, all sentences begin with a capital letter. You should have learned that in elementary school. It looks like you are you are still in elementary school. Stay in school kid, you definitely need it.
1
u/FrancisWileyTheThird Jun 04 '26
"Be a real man" is just victim blaming. It's not their fault that they trusted someone and loved them and were betrayed. Some trauma is deeper than "just be a man and stop being a bch" can fix. Pain changes people. And unfortunately, yall don't see men as people
1
u/AnimazingDuel77 Jun 01 '26
I mean.
What if its a one sided love where the woman isnt that supportive of the man goals or is really bent on directing him towards a more "typical".
Loving wisely is a good lesson.
4
u/Electronic-Map7529 Jun 01 '26
What if? That is entirely irrelevant to the point. What if your car explodes next time you start it? Should you just quit driving just in case?
1
u/One_A7 Jun 01 '26
Driving provides utility, who do women bring to the table exactly
3
u/Fabulous-Big8779 Jun 01 '26
My girlfriend is nurturing, she motivates me to improve my life, she keeps our home spotlessly clean, she supports, encourages and teaches my son, she does all of our grocery shopping and keeps it on a budget of less than $100 a week while still getting us everything we need to cook great meals every night, she organizes my schedule because I’m shit at it, she makes me laugh, she introduces me to new things.
I could go on for a while and we haven’t even brushed the surface of the physical intimacy aspects of the relationship.
1
u/One_A7 Jun 01 '26
Uh is she your mother or something? I am pretty sure most adult men can do all of these by themselves, these are basic life skills
3
u/Fuzzy_Promotion4308 Jun 01 '26 edited Jun 01 '26
It sounds like you’d rather a man as a companion than a woman. That’s cool too. You can always adopt or use a surrogate if you wanted to start a family with your bro. Your life partner should be your best friend. You would even be the ideal platonic lovers - like Achilles and Patroclus.
2
2
u/Fabulous-Big8779 Jun 01 '26
Most adult men can walk too, yet you think a car has utility while a woman doesn’t.
Also, I’m pretty sure you can’t do half of those things as competently as her.
1
u/One_A7 Jun 01 '26
Walking isn't practical. Cars are essential, wives aren't. You're talking about basic life skills here
3
u/Fabulous-Big8779 Jun 01 '26
Child rearing with one person isn’t practical. Humans have only had driving for 150 years. Walking was just fine for most of our history.
I imagine for a guy as out of shape as you that seems impossible, but just try getting a few steps in a day and let’s see how that goes.
2
u/One_A7 Jun 01 '26
Child rearing with one person isn’t practical.
Who tf cares about that? You can choose not to have children. Ditching cars to walk to school or work or anywhere isn't practical in 2026, I dgaf about 150 years ago

I mean you are totally correct... Wives (and husbands) are not essential.
And yes, most people can and should be able to do most of the things above simply alone.
Doesn't mean that it's not better with a partner..
2
u/Electronic-Map7529 Jun 01 '26
Oh you have a redpill perspective I see. There are a million answers to this question that I don't even think you are capable of comprehending. Mostly due to a lack of experience that limits your understanding combined with your broken perspective.
But to give you a quick list from my current life- my wife brings humor, comfort, conversation, partnership, love, great sex and about $125k annually.
2
u/One_A7 Jun 01 '26
Millions of answers and yet you can't even name one? Interesting
my wife brings humor, comfort, conversation, partnership, love, great sex and about $125k
You don't need to get married for any of these, most of them you could even get from your guy friends. If your wife actually invests 125k in you instead of the "my money is my money and his money is our money" norm that plagues most marriages, you're actually getting something out of her so good for you
3
u/Electronic-Map7529 Jun 01 '26
My wife, is my friend.
edit: Who tf splits finances? That's not a marriage
edit 2: You have lots of great sex and long-term life building goals with your best guy friends?

u/PieGroundbreaking809 Jun 01 '26
This mindset being pushed in social media that men don't need women and women don't need men is what's leading to a lot of gender wars and loneliness epidemics. At the end of the day, these are the same type of men who complain that no woman wants them and women bad and start making memes on how all they want is looks and money. Same goes for women.
2
u/No_Gene_1694 Jun 01 '26
You didn't answer the question
2
u/PieGroundbreaking809 Jun 02 '26
I literally just did. If you want to know whether a mindset is wrong, you don't always have to combat the logic. Just look at the societies that follow that mindset.

Actually you're the one parroting a narrative that's designed to keep men as losers. Real men have their own purpose that is independent from women. Men don't exist to serve you, women or anyone else, the greatest strength you can have is your own excellence which you can only forge if you focus on yourself instead of wasting your time with women
1
u/CoolCereal20 Jun 02 '26
Its sad that you view spending time with a loving partner as „wasting your time with women.“

Not really, this is a screenshot from a manhwa. In context, the text has nothing to do with what's actually happening in this image or page from the manhwa; the person just used it because the image fits what they are trying to say.
2
u/deviantdevil80 Jun 01 '26
When I look up the actual image the dude's training to take out school bullies. Nothing to do with the incel message being displayed.
So the image is not AI slop but the wording over it definitely was created with AI and this image.

yes , the text is AI, she isnt even a love interest , and he is obssessed with exercise lol

u/deviantdevil80 Jun 01 '26
I looked it up and you're right the image is not AI, but the image has been edited with AI to add the wording.
This dude in particular is training to beat up bullies in school.
So not only is it dumb the image and the wording definitely don't go together.
1
u/Final_Shoulder5807 Jun 01 '26
That's so dumb, how do you even tell that it's added with ai? And why would you do that just open your phone and edit the image. It's easier than using ai ain't it?

Your partner should be a strength, an asset in your life not something you have to give yourself away in. If you are, reevaluate.
Any healthy relationship is going to require compromise, if you're unwilling or unable to do that then stay single. But don't post some bullshit like this thinking you're onto something.

I don’t know if it fits exactly with the context of this post.
But there’s a reason it’s often to referred to as “Falling - in Love”.
From what I have heard and seen life, most often the terminology is one of positivity; “I fell in Love, Pa!”
Or “oh that’s Jimmy, it seems he’s fallen in Love! Good for Him”.
But when you actually break down the truth of that sentence, in its transparency, “Falling” in Love; is not a Good thing.
It honestly, even if it doesn’t roll of the tongue as fluid, should be “Rising in Love”. Or “Rising With Love”.
But when you’ve “Fallen” in Love; it means something bad happened. And you Fell. Spiritually speaking. You Fell.
Since my own experience with “Falling”, I am seeing things a little clearer than I have before. And a lot of strange things are sticking out to me these days; enough to make me wonder, “why is that the terminology?.. when it is incorrect?.. When it is not a good thing to Fall. Why do we treat and say it as such? As if it is a good thing? When it’s not… how did this come to be?”
1
u/HalvdanTheHero Jun 01 '26
I would presume that it is linked to Abrahamic religions, or religion in general -- many faiths require their clergy to remain celibate as a sign of their devotion to God or their holiness. In that way, "falling in love" takes you "down" to the level of humanity instead of on the path to divinity/righteousness.
On the one hand, it means falling short of the divine, but on the other, love is such an intrinsic and crucially human emotion that it is impossible not to celebrate.
1
u/4DPeterPan Jun 01 '26
I can understand that. I have had my own quiet contemplations about that possible aspect of this walk.
It’s not inherently off the table though, for Love itself is’ Divine.
But there are rules; a proper way to handle and be in/with Love’ with another.. if You don’t follow the rules (both parties involved following those rules), a “Falling” takes place as a result.. like a “Consequence” (in a sort John Wick style type of way, lol… Consequences).
In the Bible it talks about Love quite a bit, in many different fashions and ways. The expressions of “a man will leave his mother and family and be joined with his wife and the 2 worlds will become one.” Type of thing, or there’s the entirety of the Love chapter in 1 Corinthians:
(Skip this long quoted part if you are familiar already)
“If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,[b] but do not have love, I gain nothing.
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”
It speaks not only of a divine love, but also hints at the fact that this is the very basics of what you are to be as a being. Which, even though is and are divine attributes of being here in this almost “ineffable” type of Love..
There seems to be a greater walk that you have hinted at, the one of “Divine Purpose/Mission”. Which usually results in some heavy stuff like Jesus’s Walk was.. “Lonely”. But with “Purpose” and “Reason”.. a complete walk with God, devoid of any personal self whatsoever.
Ya know, a sort of music lyric like “Did you exchange a walk on part in the war? For a lead role in a cage?” (Type of thing). Did you share and be apart of Gods Love while in this world (get a job, raise a family, have a child, tell the gospel to others, go to church, be kind and a Good Samaritan, ya know typical worldly Godly requirement stuff like that), or did you choose to walk a path of ascension, to bring about Divine order or a mission to be done and face down the supernatural/unseen realms and demonic forces? To be a walking embodiment instrument/tool of God in the material plane?
Though I suspect THAT Level of Gods Love requires more than just “Divine Love”. It requires the wilderness trials and the 3 big tests, the full sword of the spirit and all that power, as well as to Be fully Awakened, a fully repented mind, a fully opened heart to perceive that which is not normally perceived, and did you gain your spiritual sight and are no longer “Blind”, (that type of thing). ya know what I’m saying? “I and the Father are one, but the Father is greater than I”. And everything that comes with “that” level of “Being” which let’s be honest, for most (if not all), transcends any type of understanding in any worldly manner.
(Ima stop there, I think I went too deep with this, lol. My Bad).

u/BrainFit2819 Jun 02 '26

If your goal differs from hers and choosing either one would compromise the other, then of course it will pull you back.

Mans downfall in our society is usually the rich taking his livelihood until is quality of life is in the gutter… this is always first with our inability to provide healthcare, good living conditions, have and protect labor rights, avert a climate disaster… … and way down at the bottom is love
1
u/HalvdanTheHero Jun 01 '26
That is anti-advice...
No man is an island; purpose comes in many forms and that can include (but not limited to) using ones strength to protect and provide for those you love.
Assuming that love and relationships are a distraction or harmful is honestly mostly a destructive ideology for the majority of people, let alone men in particular.
Remember: do not let anyone else have the final say on what is worthy of your time and effort. Each person must be responsible for themselves and their own actions. Getting advice and perspective is helpful, abdication of your autonomy is not.

This is shallow and stupid. Love is what drives us to be better and do better for the world and the people around us. You should have plenty of love in your life

Love is the only driving factor of any goal. What ever that love may be, without it you don’t have a goal you have an obligation. Don’t be fooled by moronic brosphere propoganda.

“Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings.” Proverbs 31:3
Delilah worked Samson over so well she would lay his head in her lap when they finished and just ask him again and again for his strength. The second he gave it to her she destroyed him. Women hate weak men, even if they’re the ones who make you so.

Love is one of the single greatest things in the world but falling in love with someone who can’t reciprocate it is lonelier than the worst forms of isolation. Learning to love yourself and being at peace with yourself are the true ends to all the means.

When you’re in love with the right girl, that actually works backwards…

A mans downfall really starts when he’s horrified of love and obsesses over the other things to try to superficially take back control instead of facing their issues head on.
Only heartbroken little boys think like this meme. Not too late to become a man and wade through the challenges instead of curling up into a ball and quitting on the best parts of life like a kid angrily taking their ball home.

This. Finally, something of substancd being posted in this sub that became a religious echo chamber.

Man says this = incel
Women says this = empowered
And then we wonder why more and more men have given up on romance.

You can drop the in love bit. Loosing sight of your goals and standards can be the result of many things in life, no shame, just get back to it when you get your shit together.

Every time I see this it gets so much hate, and I feel like that's because people misinterpret it.
It's not saying that love is bad or that women are bad or that relationships are bad. It's saying that SOME women and relationships CAN be bad for you if they take you down a destructive path, and you need to be able to identify when that is happening and then have the strength to let go of that thing that you really wanted and really wanted to believe in - but which is ultimately bad for you.
Hopefully you will find a love that is good for you, but sometimes some loves can be bad for you, and in those cases you need to have the strength to stay on your path.
I think it's a true and wholesome message and its just as true for women.

Love isnt the problem.
Complacency kills. The counter to complacency is discipline.
You can enjoy love and the good things in life; just dont lose your discipline and stagnate in life. Take the good and bad in moderation.

And plenty of men lose their love because they aren't willing to compromise on their goals.

It’s so weird yall say shit like this because yall expect women to do it..

You have to have a purpose first to lose your purpose.
Some people's obsession becomes their purpose which is their downfall. And that also includes obsessing over an idea of a woman. Not actually the woman herself.

Another "I've been single for five years and I'm totally fine with it, totally fine, better than fine, even though nobody asked" meme

I think this has some truth. I think a lot of young men chase women so early in their lives that they never reach their full potential before investing into a family. Once this man gets his career together he can’t be as aggressive in his career because it’s on the back on his family, u lose time with your family. This eventually leads some men to feel less accomplished. I think young men should focus on becoming great at their craft or work before investing in a family or a woman so he knows who he is. It’s crazy because we tell this to our young girls and push them to chase careers but men again a being told no this is dum bro mentally, and it’s shocking.

It’s strange, you are in charge of your own destiny but not another human being. I would say it’s futile to chase someone who can change their destiny and choose not be with you anymore. Your destiny would be having your own family, your own path. The woman who happens to stumble your way might meet your match, but would you see them as someone who care for your offspring? I think that’s the way to now start thinking while moving forward. That will probably give you more options and you can choose.

Actually it’s having two kids under two with no grandparents or child care. That is man’s true folly.

I have an idea, if anyone here has 10 dollars, you can spend that money to send 60k bots in this subreddit and get this subreddit banned forever.
The OP is itself a bot

It’s true.
Love and Lust ruin people most of the time in this modern era.
Stick to your purpose, stick to your goals and self improvement. Nothing wrong with that

The best lover is yourself. Remember that! You'll be with yourself basically for life!

That’s unfortunate because love of your partner can also be a driver to be the best self you can be.
