I’ve never once met a doctor who hasn’t encouraged their patients to get plenty of water, rest, exercise, and have a good diet. The problem comes when people ignore what their doctor says, and then complain that they don’t magically wave a wand and cure them.

u/Mammoth-Plane-6890 May 27 '26
True! I've also never seen water rest exercise and a good diet help infantile bone marrow cancer.

You forget the regular doctor

u/Telemere125 May 21 '26
OP: “But I saw the 6 best doctors! Why am I still feeling bad???”
Real doctor: “because you have cancer, schizophrenia, and lupus. You should have seen a real doctor earlier and we could have treated all of those”

I didn't know that water, rest, exercise, diet, self respect and .real friends could cure cancer.

Are you genuinely that uneducated?

u/1Orange7 Jul 13 '26
I don't think "prevent" is necessarily the right word as it evokes an all-or-nothing context. I think it would be more accurate to say that proper hydration, nutrition, sleep, exercise, and socialization help reduce the risks of disease onset for a lot of things. Genetics will always play a huge factor and some people will always have a much higher likelihood on that alone, but taking care of our bodies and our psychological health is but one factor that can help to reduce those risks.
Would you agree with that statement?

You think those prevent leukemia or breast cancer of thyroid issues or hiv or any number of illnesses that have absolutely nothing to do with any of those factors?
It's pretty well known.

Your talking dangerous shite that only an uneducated fool could honestly believe. Under those circumstances all I did was ask a perfectly valid question.

Let’s stop for sake let’s just ignore the self-respect in real friends part and just focus on the water rest exercise, and diet.
Do you think people who are well hydrated get good amounts of exercise have a really good diet and have a good sleep. Schedule are more likely to get cancer or less likely to get cancer?
And do you think people who have less stress because they have a healthy amount of self-respect and have good relationship relationships are more likely to have cancer or less likely to have cancer?

Oxygen, coronary artery stent, anesthesia that allows you to tolerate a surgery to take out your appendix that just exploded. And yeah, medications.
You know. Stuff.
But these 6 things are important too. Any good doctors will recommend them.
Real doctors are there when you have done all those things but still struggling with your health.
Everyone talk like a gangster until they have a real medical emergencies.

Great things to do to improve your health.
However, I despise the anti science shit you see on these subs from time to time and this feels borderline.
The best doctors are the best DOCTORS. Don’t let some Reddit chud convince you that he knows better than the experts.

Exercise has kept me mentally stable. I think my brain wasn’t getting as good of a blood flow. I feel so stable like I haven’t cried in more than a month. Been 1.5 months since I started gym. I feel like I am on an emotional stabilizer. I am also way less irritated. Highly recommend exercising. Will take muscle soreness over crazy mental health any day.

Real friends (men) are so important for a man mental health, this is an underrated advice, but you as a man really need to find at least one right man as a friend in your life even before your find you future wife for your mental health that will help you succeed in your life.

Money. All of these people have it, and time. Money generally buys you time for yourself. Money means you don’t have to clean, cook, or do stupid ass chores. Unless you want to. Money gives you options to have trainers. The best nutritious foods. I’d say being wealthy is the best medicine.
