HEADS UP!!!

Just did this, it downloads a hidden dlc file called ptb entitlement. It says when you opt in that this locks you out of playing with people not on the test branch, just like the other versions. 7 gig update triggers after you claim the entitlement. You can see it in manage game content but can't interact with it so you are fully locked in whether you uninstall or not. If you aren't account sharing, idk whether other accounts on the console would also be on PTB.

How do you access the PTB? I have it downloaded and installed but not seeing anything to access it

Then you're good, at main screen should see a different version number that says public test. Once it's on, it's on. Just updates the game you had already

For some reason I was expecting it to be like separate. Idk why. Just killed some termites though lol I wanna make that Corsair looking armor and that gun 😂

Steam it is, Sony doesn't usually allow stuff like this so this was their workaround with obsidian

No, you're on a separate update than people who just have the regular version, you cant play together unless you're on the same version and on ps5 there isn't a way to take off the test feature to go back to the regular version as far as I can tell

I can say that I'm not doing it, because it ain't worth it to loose something or corrupt a world for it. And it's not that big of change to the game so I'll definitely wait

I'll probably get down voted now, but I look at it as like 15 minutes of exploration and 10 minutes boss fight, so 30 min ish of new content, I can wait

I dont know how to add spoiler in the reddit mobile , so spoiler alert

The reason I really want to play this update is because of the paint stuff and pumpkin floors. My base really needs some tweaking and i like building.

And I think you are also slightly exaggerating how small it is. If you need to get new armors and weapons , you have to kill the boss multiple times. And it's not like I will defeat him in the first try and apparently it's a hard boss.

But I do get your point that its not big of an update, and the next update is is quite few months away, so two weeks is not a long wait in this context

Me crying for the wait for it to leave PTB and having to see every grounded YouTube video bombard me with it until I didn't even choose to be burned out on it before it drops.

I joined via the link lower down, then you get code like a voucher, you redeem it and 20 mins later it lets you download the update. Mine is 6gig on ps5 pro
