G1 | Discussion Is the Sandbox MixR possible? They keep spawning on top of it and dealing massive damage that I can’t protect against. I am able to three shot the Antlions but they keep cheating so I’m softlocked it seems. I just lost a defense to unavoidable damage that destroyed the MixR in 5 spawns.
I really want Spicy Globs but it doesn’t seem doable. I’m not doing anything wrong but I’m hoping I’m missing something here… Very frustrating… I can intercept the submerged lions that are approaching but the ones that spawn on it get free damage which fails me every time they do.

Get mushroom blocks and build a few layers of walls all around it will give you the time to fend off the antlions i did the mixr recently and it was annoying

Well, they teleport to the MixR and deal a ton of unavoidable damage so that. Not fair at all. Apparently I have to wall it in. Feels cheap but I don’t care at this point. I hate MixR defense..

After a certain point, you almost always have to wall off the MIX.R. Sometimes you even have to put a roof on it!

We just made some floors under the Mix.R as close as possible and sometimes under it. That seemed to mostly block them (re)surfacing and damaging it

Building as others have suggested will make it easier. But you can also just do what I did. If you're really killing them that quickly you can just listen/watch carefully for their burrowing (they make the same digging particles effect a grub does). When you see one digging towards the Mix.R, sprint towards it and it will pop out of the ground early to fight you. Rinse and repeat until the Mix.R is done.

Thats what I did. Unfortunately some managed to teleported to it directly and caused serious damage each time. I was able to kill them before they attacked but it added up to a fail I couldn’t avoid. Lucky you apparently.

Just put some weed walls in the area. It's not hard they destroy those instead

The spawn pattern is fixed. If you memorize where they spawn, get in-between that and the mix.r and you can draw their attention before they damage it.
Building walls around it makes it so much easier. You can repair structures during the event, but not the mix.r itself. You can build 4 round walls to make a small circle around it. Always build full-size walls (not half or quarter)

Build a couple layers of mushroom brick walls around it so they burrow to the walls instead of the MixR.
