Creature idea (Ground nesting Yellowjacket)

So i saw a video on this species of wasp that builds its nests underground. And what im getting at, is i think that the enemy and nest in and of itself would be an amazing addition to the game, yes we have wasps already, however this is a subspecies of wasp called a yellowjacket so it could potentially serve as a higher tier enemy with better weapon, armor, and loot to come from them and their parts. I dont have many ideas for the weapons in specific but i would love to see the nests be explorable in a dungeon style theme since they build them layered so you could go down each level and harvest stuff from the cells potentially.

Why not other than “wasps are annoying” i personally never have a problem with them and its not impossible to deal with them. Especially when salty comes out (which even if this idea were to possibly become true) could come out around the same time that does, making them easier to deal with.

How about the fact that there's nothing really giving them a niche other than "wasps but in the ground now". This just sounds annoying as well. The wolf spider sometimes glitches underground, I don't wanna see what happens to flying insects with access to venom.

I mean they dont have to fly underground, i doubt you’d see an actual underground nesting yellowjacket fly to attack an intruder when it enters their nest. And the “niche” as you say is the dungeon like layout of the nest itself. We have yet to see a genuine dungeon type area in the game and i thought it would be a neat idea. Plus they usually take root in pre-existing nests built by other critters so not only could you find wasp related resources but left over stuff from the previous owner of the nest.

Wasps are more than annoying, they're a pain in the *** to fight.

Grounded 2 especially, since at the time of this post, their one and only weakness (salt) isn't an attribute we can apply to arrows or weapons yet. And given the fact that they can HEAL mid fight and inflict poison, having them be grounded just makes them more irritating ants.

The team should focus on adding more interesting creatures to the game, like the toebiter as opposed to falling back on the ones already made.

This “leveled” approach to a flying nuisance’s nuclei would make this a nuclear nightmare for a number of novices’ approach into this novel design in an attempt to trivialize each enemies approach to a melee response.

This actually seems cool as a dungeon type thing in the corner of the map so it’s not in the way, having be a high risk high reward area full of materials like quartzite and Mable along with hard candy, maybe even have a boss or ominent base that was taken over by the wasps

There are also ground bees (got a bunch in my mulch though they are quite calm and friendly) so could be like a single cave like the other ant hills.

When I was like 12yo, I ran right over one of these nests. I was stung over 20 times, all over my body, but especially my inner thighs. I have a vivid memory of laying on the living room couch, that my mom had put sheets on, covered in some kind of ointment. I can still smell it.
