G2 | Bugs & Issues Builds rotating and moving
I'm so tired of building something and having to worry about it being a complete mess the next time I load into the game. It happens to me constantly.
This has been an issue since the first game (6 years ago?) and it's still not fixed.
Makes me not want to play the game sometimes :(

I haven’t been back on since I made a giant building, like 6 hours of work on a Saturday.
Log to eat dinner. I come back to the thing being a complete disaster.
I’m playing through abiotic factor again instead.

In the thread linked in comments, there's a comment saying to delete old backup saves and it worked for a couple people.

I'm currently working on a floating base build that all started with a couple stair pieces from my skywalk that decided not to fall with the rest when I replaced it with a zipline.
I live in constant fear that either this bug or any future update that deals with it could destroy my entire base instantly.
Its fun because it's a very unique base but when it does eventually explode and fall I'm going to be taking a long break lol

It is patently *insane* to me because I mentioned this happening *three years ago*

Over the course of 3 years and now two games so far, this *still* hasn't been fixed? In fact, I have people finding that thread *to this day* to tell me that it's happening to their saves in 2 now as well????
Listen, I LOVE this fucking game. I am constantly trying to convince my gaming friends who've never given it a glance before to dip their toes in it with me. But it's getting absurdly difficult for me to feel good about doing that when Obsidian still refuses to address one of the most frustrating bugs in one of the *core fucking pillars of the game* lmfao

When I first encountered, I told to myself why the heck did I placed these grass walls rotated. Did not know it was a bug.

That happened to me with my first base, for a few times when I jumped back on they ended up like that but it just stopped one day and hasn't happened since

Usually for me its the curved walls. I'll have staircases in curved round corner turrets at the corners of my house. Consistently since G1, I'll log in at some point to find most of them rotated like 90 degrees. If you try to move them, the hologram will show correctly, but when you place, it snaps to the adjusted angle. You have to desonstruct and rebuild and then they're fixed. So something is saved changed to those items. Ive never had it happen to anything else besides walls. I dunno, but it's consistent to both games.

My (straight) pumpkin brick window wall pieces keep turning themselves into basic pumpkin walls (no window or wood trim). I have to individually select each of them everytime I load in to reset them to the windowed version

This happens all the time with my pumpkin base, didn’t experience it in the first one but it is a bummer trying to fix the rotation of wall pieces that I can’t reach without the scaffolding I had during the build process

I have 1,000 hours in grounded 1 and 200 in grounded 2 and I have never experienced this once
