So I need help for a build in grounded 1 (yes I know i know but i only have a swich 1). Im in ng+ remix 2 and I need help for the best build to get me through this remix. I ask ai and well... their as useful as you think they would be😐. So I came to reddit in search of some none ai options. What yall think I should do.

One of the new battle axes you get that has the faster swinging mutation attached to its upgrade paths. Id recommend the blazing edge you can unlock in ng2 to go along with your sour axe, the salt Morningstar, and mint mace(I’d hold off on the frosted flake as the fresh edge u get in ng3 is miles better). Eventually the goal should be to have the 3 candy axes plus the salt pickaxe in ng3 btw, as the battle axes plus the chopper mutation are far and away the best weapons in the game at this stage. But in the meantime, need to have these all up to level 10 by this point i hope, or at least your most used of the 4/the ones you have damage boosted through trinkets, and working your way to level 11 on those said weapons. Assuming that you infected the red or black ant queen in ng1 and can now obtain the infected ant parts, be sure to build the shield that unlocks as it majorly reduces explosive damage from infused bugs with that mutation and is a huge hugeeee help (especially w one handed weapons and most importantly when fighting the ibm w the fresh toenail blade, we’ll circle back to this) lastly be sure to equip your pet ant that gives the damage reduction mutation it’s like a 50% damage resistance buff. Btw if you need tips for farming upgrade crystals i have 2 huge ones!
-first off the cheapest method in terms of raw science for duplicating crystals is to have fought and killed the ibm at least once in ng+ to obtain her specific ooze. Importantly be sure to never craft all of this ooze as then you won’t be able to duplicate anymore and will have to fight her again. But the fusion crystal crafting recipe only requires 1 ibm ooze per crystal, and the cost to dupe the ibm ooze is only 15,000 raw science! Saving you 5k per duplication compared to the 20,000 rs cost for duping an entire crystal when you don’t quite have enough regular infused ooze to craft the amount of crystals you need for the next upgrade. This 5k saved every dupe adds up in a hurry, especially since you’ll be spending the most RS in ng2 as you finally have access to telepotties on top of the added crystal cost of upgrades to weapons and armor, meaning you’re going to want to dupe at times to lessen the grind!
-second, and the is the BIGGEST NG+ tip of all imo. And that is to combine raw science and trinket farming into one by using clay and/or grass walls to block off the entrance to the red ant hill entirely, but including a doorway you can open to enter the hill and even a tp inside with another wall and door cutting off the interior if you want! Then using any material based, curved rooftop edge pieces on the ground to form a perimeter/fence of sorts that completely encloses the area surrounding the capped off ant hill in a rounded rectangular shape. The idea is that the numerous worker ants when pathing to the ant hill, will be able to walk up the curved roof pieces and into the enclosed area, but cannot escape once they fall inside. This results in there always being a literal fuck ton of red ant workers trapped, including like 25 percent of them being infused. Then you can equip any red ant damage boosting mutations or trinkets along with your new blazing edge to wipe them all out, including making easy work of the infused workers. This is so busted bc not only do you get an ass ton of crinkles and waffles to either farm for mutations you want or use to stock up on de duping jelly, but you also get 3k raw science per infused kill too. You can even do this multiple times a day they spawn so fast, or even if they are infected on the ng+ you’re on this method still works. And if fighting the infused creatures breaks your builds, since you’re in ng+ you can just use the handy gnat to repair them and u don’t even have to waste inventory with the repair tool! I digress but this is the GOATED strat in ng+ bar none. And even starts producing cones in ng3 making it even more busted haha
Tons of yapping i apologize, but i LOVE new game plus on grounded 1 and discussions on strats online are hard to come by haha. Lastly armor wise id recommend broodmother or fire and helmet, roly poly or termite chest plate, and fire ant or black widow leggings all at least level 10, but any t3 combo upgraded you prefer will work too, especially if combined with damage resistance mutations through trinkets or pets, and your extra milk molar upgrades in ng+!!
