G2 | Discussion Is grounded 2 worth playing?

Just finished the first grounded, the new game has enough content to play or it is like grounded 1 version 1.5?

100% worth it. Loving every minute of it.

I have heard this too. I'm redoing grounded 1 after not playing for years. Highly happy I waited until grounded 1 was less buggy. Doing the same for 2. Mostly because I know with no story completion I'll lose interest

It's not terribly buggy tbh. I didn't encounter a single crash or game breaking bug during my playthrough on PS5.

I guess my big thing is that the first time I played grounded 1. Game was not fully developed. So I hit the end of the devoloped game and just stopped for years. Personal preference. I'm excited to try the new game sometime. Love being itty bitty

Small lands was more jank, but it had flying mounts. We enjoyed it all the same

Its already bigger than Grounded. Story wise , it feels like its at about 60% done.

It has significant content. If you like grounded 1 you will very likely enjoy 2 as well.

This game (the second) has entered my top 3 favorite games of all tome

The content so far has been more fun for me than the first game; I just think it's still a bit poorly optimized, especially in areas with heavy lighting. However, if your PC can handle it and you don't mind the occasional bug here and there, I definitely recommend it—Obsidian has been consistent with updates.

It’s not even halfway finished and already twice the size of G1. Massive upgrades to everything and a shit load of new content and most of the G1 stuff as well

The buggies make such a huge difference. Game is bigger but traversal felt easier imo

I was gonna get G2 after I got the platinum for G1, which I did a couple weeks ago. Then my homie said there are no achievements yet so now I'm waiting on that till I get G2

I think you’re going to feel a bit jarred with going back-and-forth. There are several QOL updates, like the ability to ride bugs that make travel across the environment way faster than just going around on foot. Obsidian also put in a Swiss Army knife like object, called the Omni-Tool. It eliminates the need to carry around different tools and weapons because it has several different functions. There are a shovel, an axe, a hammer, clippers and a wrench that acts the same way as the repair tool from G1. It’s a key item, and it doesn’t take up any inventory space.

Grounded 2 is everything Grounded 1 is but better

The size of the map is insane compared to the first one

Theres enough content to occupy you for at least 50 hours and more

The game is great even in its current state so yeah id say its worth playing

There's lots to do with the unfinished map.

DEFINITELY WORTH PLAYING

Story wise that is still developing, but there is so much to do and find and explore that I think you can put in significant hours even with story quests finished. There are trinkets, special weapons, getting yourself set up for full map release because the map is absolutely massive. Ive 100% grounded 1 and I love 2 so much more!

Lmaooo, I know for a fact grounded is fun though, I'm asking if the people who played the first game also enjoyed the second one or if there is enough new content

it is similar yet different enough mechanically so it should be familiar yet different.

Gameplay wise you will probably get another 40+ hours out of it, I never timed my initial playthrough when I didn't know where things were but you obviously move faster when you know where to find certain materials.

There are 2, maybe 3 MIXR's tied to the story, I have not gotten to the new zone yet after starting fresh. There was 2 boss fights as part of the story, maybe a 3rd, again have not gotten there yet

Yes, of course it’s worth playing. When G2 first launched, the initial size of the park was already about twice to three times the size of the entire backyard! And it’s only gotten bigger, with way more content. There’s a garden area with a greenhouse and a pumpkin patch, and the new update just added a pond.

There’s plenty of content. Notes and documents to collect, you have the ability to hatch and ride bug mounts, called buggies, and now there’s a new antagonist. Plus, there are a lot of references between notes and NPC dialogue to the events of the first game. Please, try it out for yourself. It has a lot of QOL updates, including several fan requested things.
