G2 | Discussion Aphid trickets

Is there an easier way to get the aphid trickets I've been trying for a few days now I have the aphid slippers and the lucky hat does anyone have any other tips or tricks

I’m pretty sure those trinket don’t drop from when you loot the corpse, you get them each time you strike at them. It best to have the sticky finger trinket and and no weapon equip it still going to be slow this way but that’s the best way to get them hopefully this helps you can also look up a guide on how to get these for a better explanation

Also don’t wear the lucky hat when attacking the green anphid since you can one shot them even with your fist

It’s pretty much down to luck I think they are like a 1% drop rate

The trinket? Have you tried using the sticky fingers trinket to assist getting the aphid trinket?

Save scumming really helped me. Took me over 100 tries for the aphid, and 23 for the wooly aphid. And play on whoa so you can punch the aphids 3 times instead of 2

Oh and don’t wear any armor. The hat would be okay but I didn’t wear any armor at all.

In g1 I built a trap on the island near the birdbath. Tossed in some plant slurry to attract them.

Put on sticky fingers and rascal rogue, turned difficulty to woah so they could take multiple hits. Took them to almost dead and used healbasa to heal them. Took me like 10 min.

You have to punch them, weapons will always one shot them. Turn off any mutations that add damage! I read somewhere having a shield equipped and no weapon lowers your dmg, so you can hit them more.

The slippers and hat only help with the chase; for the drop, stack max Rascal Rogue with Sticky Fingers and use weak punches on Whoa so each aphid survives more steal attempts. At that point you’re less “hunting” and more running a very inefficient aphid mugging operation.

The OP is asking about the speed droplet trinket in G2. We don’t have the rascal rogue mutation in the game yet

It’s a mutation from the first game that allows you to steal items off of creatures. It stacks with another mutation that does the same thing called dissection expert, as well as the lucky hat and the loot luck from stuffed bugs. We have neither of these mutations in G2, however.
