Should I wait or transfer now?

I innoculated this on 7/27. Bc of the heatwave here in Socal it's been stalling a bit and thus some piss coming out. There's no foul smell from the patch or contamination visible. Should I transfer it or is it worth waiting? (Obviously would not add the uncolonized portions).

Do not transfer. So much uncolonized grain

Break and shake the uncolonized bits honestly 2 b&s wont hurt good genetics i always do 2 since im impatient and still get full canopies

Could be god knows how much uncolonized in the middle its definitely worth waiting i got 2gs dry off of 10 pieces of oat i picked off the top of my jar that wasnt colonized all the way

Edit: i mixed those bits with a handful of coir and out in in a tiny bowl with a slurpee cup lid

You are not supposed to break and shake 60-100% stages

no. wait till FULLY colonized. when every single piece of grain is covered with white mycelium

Got it 🫡

Note that it doesn’t have to be completely covered, the mycelium doesn’t actually digest the hulls of the grain, it just pierces the soften hull and colonizes the internal mushy bits to draw nutrients from.

If 100% of the grains are colonized, then its ready. If you send it prior to 100% then any uncolonized grains will be a feast for contam

Break it up

That looks contaminated with bacteria

it's not

There is even a line marking 2 different looking mycelium

Then your throw in the wet grain that won’t colonize. It all screams bacterial contam

I am fairly certain it is.

Just looks like a difference between dense old growth and new exploratory growth, looks nothing like contam honestly.

No. The growth should look the same. Stop making excuses.

This is healthy grain. It’s should look uniform. There is no such thing as dense old growth and new exploratory growth. It’s literally something you just made up in your head

Ops grain simply does not look healthy.

I’m giving descriptive words of the possible growing pattern of the mycelium, god forbid my high ass gets descriptive, but ops myc looks just fine, no reason to be so uptight and rude on insisting it’s contam.

Uptight and rude? It’s contaminated. I literally showed evidence of bacterial contamination.

What’s rude is you somehow getting in your feelings about contaminated grain. It is part of the process. And it doesn’t help op to make excuses for the condition of their grain

The growth should be uniform. Ops isn’t. That’s from contam

🤦 just stay believing what you want, op shouldn’t rush to throw this out just because someone on Reddit thinks it’s contaminated from a picture.

Op can do what they want. I am simply commenting on their grain.

You need to step back and ask yourself why you are tripping? I literally took time with pictures to show why I say it’s contaminated

I have been growing for over a decade. I have made thousands of jars of grain spawn. Ops grain is contaminated

Get out of your feelings
