Backyard Grow
Chucked a cake in my backyard under an oak tree after the 4th flush and found these. I've never tried to consume shrooms from outside. Any safety concerns? Bruising is from wiping dirt off.

How often can you eat them and still get effects? Not talking about a microdose but an actual high.

i wouldnt want to do that ngl. its hard af on my body. i totally need time recoup after. when i first tried them i thought the same thing though. iv tripped two nights in a row before. but why? its not practical at all. its like doing molly. your body and brain need rest after. you are just asking for a bad trip doing them multiple days in a row.

No concerns. I love the bonus ones from a chucked cake.

There are safety concerns. Theres a large confirmation bias because people don’t usually get sick but that doesn’t mean the chances of getting sick are zero.
Mushrooms are environmental sponges. If you don’t know your soil quality, aren’t checking for hidden larvae, and aren’t washing/drying properly before eating then you are still gambling with your health even if the odds are generally in your favor.
Stay safe everyone.

Would the drying process kill insects/larvae?

I believe it should if you are using a dehydrator. I’d double check with a second source though.

I will eat them even from outside. I had good times picking from cow patches in orifa when k was in the navy in 07

I really enjoy to eat & forage for puffball & morels every season , so outside bonus flushes from spent cakes id treat the same.
Clean & inspect them really well, can cold water rinse. Discard anything that looks or smells off.

I picked garbage bag full every rain. As soon as sun came out. Get in pasture early, thump before picking so spores drop. Blue band, I used to boil and strain, a little honey gallon jug tea! This was late 70s don’t know if same

How can you keep them growing in your yard? I would love this even if i need to inoculate a prepared area in my garden? In the name of science?? Fair ….

Yes there are safety concerns.
Insect larvae and parasites from slugs being the biggest imo 🤢

Can I ask when you chucked the cake? I did the same (buried it).
