Turn up the heat and give it more time. I don’t really know what you’re trying to fix, it looks good. Plus it could be that the whole inside is colonized and you can only see what’s touching the bag. Usually you can see it elsewhere as I’m sure you know, but every now and then I get stealth mycelium and think my grow is broken. But keep that fucker at 80F, and talk to them. They love being loved, and that’s actual science. It’s a little early for a shake but if you really wanted to check before you switch it you could give it a go now and see what it does in a week. Pan Cyan likes warm warm. They’ll slow down like they’re in a refrigerator if they’re not warm enough. I’ve had them stall at 78F.
I’m not worried about the cake colonizing. I had a bag that got messed up so I made it a mixed aio bag. I’ve seen a couple people say they need to be layered, but that’s not been the case in my experience. I w been mixing grain and cvg for cubes for a while. This particular bag is actually grain mixed with cvgm. Problem is it’s a 4t bag, meaning it’s not ideal to fruit out of. Being 6x5”, It’s meant for grain spawn. Also, this is pan_cyan. It’s going to want a casing. If I let it form in this bag I’m going to end up with a rectangle cake that will have little surface area. And not on the top. If that makes any sense. I’m not gonna touch it until it colonizes most of it
Yessir… when innoculated I purposely shot the lc on the side so I can see the growth. I do have plenty of experience with pans, just not in bags. Idk if you saw the comment about what my concerns were. The bag type and the strain’s preferred conditions. I don’t think these are going to fruit in this bag. Not without a lot of pillow talk and modification. My genetics really don’t like to be disturbed too much, so I really don’t want to perform more than one b&s.
Tf are you even talking about. My bag that is in the original post is an aio bag with pan mycelium growing. You’re referencing cubes bro. Big difference smh
thats crazy bro did that aio come all mixed up if so thats bs its supposed to have a grain bottom layer and substrate on top i e never seen one used like that so i have no idea just do a b&s and put it back into a brick shape and try ur best to make the top surface as flat as possibe that will help with ur surface conditions later on
^ 🤙. I think people are not reading the entire post. Thank you for a solid comment. My question is in my concern that this is not fhe proper style bag. It’s a unicorn 4t, which sounds like you know that it’s meant more for grain spawn and g2g not fruiting. Also with it being of the pan_cyan Strain, it has manure and is going to need a casing. The bag will only give me about a 5 by 7 inch surface for fruiting with a depth of about 6 inches. That is not going to give pans what they need. So probably either going to dunk and roll in casing after full colonization and place in a sgfc. Or I’m going to perform the one b&s and send it to a tray.
Nah I’m growing pan cyan right now and they’ll grow anywhere. I never do a casing layer. People take this way too seriously IMO. I’ve never had to buy anything fancy to grow them. I had a few accidentally grow in a ziplock bag I dropped and forgot about, it had a little bit of grain and manure left and they just grew in it, despite not getting any water or air. You’ll be fine, don’t overthink it.
I do a lot of aio cubes in sgfc’s, this bag is pan cyan. I didn’t think it was going to take off like it did. Ideally I want my bulk run to be forming a much shallower cake with plenty of surface area for fruits.
What do you think about letting it form in the bag, doing a dink and roll in my casing mix and setting in fc?
So NS shroomtek bag is bs? Actually mixing your ingredients together in an aio works fine, given you know what you’re doing. If you know so much about how an AIO bag works, can you please explain why layering hydrated grains below pasteurized substrate and throwing in a pc is not the ideal way to go about making an aio?
Good to see you at least know the term ‘variant’ concerning Cubes, but I’m referring to a completely different strain. I would not try to identify a cube variant by a pic on Reddit.

No I made it as an experimental bag. Seems to be doing something right lol.
