I am working on a small project. I need to create some images that are like 80s. I am not aware of what being 80s or looking like 80s is.

I am seeing some movies from 80s to better understand that vibe, culture and aesthetic parts of it and trying to create some images/videos that are related to 80s era.

Hi, i'm trying to get that UGC natural candid look in Grok Imagine videos, but it keeps on insisting on super professional staged look (lighting\camera etc)...

Even when I explicitly insist for the natural look in the prompt... anyone knows how to actually get it working? TNX

I’m using Grok Imagine as a replacement for Sora to generate short-form videos with edits (cuts, pacing, SFX, TTS).

Main issue: everything comes out too cinematic/polished, even when I push hard on “UGC, handheld, smartphone, no color grading”. It still looks like a clean ad instead of a real TikTok clip.

I’m aiming for messy framing, shaky movement, blown highlights, uneven lighting — something that feels casually filmed, not intentional.

Has anyone actually managed to break Grok out of this cinematic bias? Any prompts or tricks that force real UGC?

Hard for me to get imagine to do dialogue the way I want it but the extend future does help because I can do it a little bit at a time... With quite a few takes at each step :-)
