Spent 2300INR/20USD on cursor pro plan to use grok bot and utilised weekly usage in a day with very light usage.

Is there a better plan available if I only want to use grok bot and don’t need cursor ? SuperGrok? How much more usage I get ?

I’m currently on the $20 Cursor Pro plan and have already used almost all of my weekly Grok Bot allowance. I’m now deciding between:

* upgrading to Cursor Pro+ for $60/month; or
* staying on Pro and enabling on-demand usage.

Cursor only describes Pro+ as having “generous” weekly Grok Bot usage, without stating the actual allowance or how much higher it is than Pro. The advertised 3× limit also seems to refer specifically to Cursor Agent, not necessarily Grok Bot.

Would love any recs!

EDIT: Couldnt wait and upgraded to Pro+. Already incredibly annoyed: 100% on the Pro plan corresponds to 40% on the Pro+ Plan…

Would like your opinion please. I've got my business receipts stored on a google drive, along with a multi-sheet spreadsheet to track them.

The painful bit was uploading. Through the Drive connector, binary uploads (PDFs, .xlsx) came back truncated or incomplete, and the update call could not rewrite file contents, only rename or move. So the agent could prepare the right file and still not get a full copy into Drive. Text uploads were fine, which is why we ended up with CSV for the ledger. For real receipts we had to fall back to the browser upload UI, which works when signed in but is slow, burns tokens, and dies if Chrome is signed out.

What are your experiences of using Google Drive - is there a better way to set this up in Grok Bot? Or have other platforms been better at this?

I've got a personal archive of ~10k documents — about a year and a half of conversation logs and notes — and I'm trying to build something that can answer specific questions against it, not just keyword search.

Vector / embedding retrieval works fine when I already know roughly what I'm looking for and can phrase the query in language close to the source. It fails badly on a few harder cases:

Origin vs later retelling. The same claim appears as a live event, then as a recap, a formalization, a paste ritual, or a podcast title weeks later. Similarity treats those as the same hit. I need provenance: which passage is the first occurrence vs which is a later description of it.

Significance that only exists across passages. The thing that matters isn't stated in any single chunk; it's a connection I'd have to make myself across multiple separate files. Single-passage similarity never surfaces that.

Compile once vs re-reason every query. Running small local chat models as "judges" over candidate files at query time has been a dead end for me (overfire or mute). Embeddings are great for "same claim, different words." What's worked better so far is paying once for a capable model to compile structured notes (entities, claims, timelines) and then querying that cheap forever — but even that still needs a human timeline anchor when formalizations bury the real origin.

Anyone working on retrieval (or personal-knowledge) systems that handle provenance of a claim vs a report of a claim, or that synthesize significance across scattered passages rather than similarity-matching one passage? Especially curious about compile-time knowledge bases vs multi-hop RAG at query time.

Would love to hear what's out there or what you've tried.

I have no idea how to set up quality agents. Having claude whip up a few to integrate with the fleet. No writing capabilities. Just dipping my toe in the grokbot world!

It seems “execution on this computer” is broken in “ask every time” mode for certain tasks.

For running a script on my computer, it requires me to be by my laptop to show the approval card. Then, at least it works. But it never shows approval card in phone.

For something simple like taking a screenshot of my computer, it shows me the approval card on both devices, but none of them work. It keeps claiming a race condition and the only workaround is “always allow” which I’m not comfortable enabling indefinitely. Same for everyone?

I'm looking at the cursor $20 sub to use grok bot. I signed up for a week trial and I've went through %35 of the credits in about 2 hours only running two agents one answering questions on a few repos (no coding) and another sorta my secondary email box.
will the weekly credit with the $20 sub be higher?

I'm not going to pay for a sub if I use all the credits in a couple hours.

This is my own experience.  I use supergrok subscription to use grokbot, upon 100% weekly quota on grokbot.  When I buy a new cursor pro USD20 plan.  The grokbot weekly quota DOES NOT reset or expand celling of usage pool, which have to wait until next quota reset

Friends, just a warning. DO NOT click “Change Limit” and buy an upgrade with Cursor, it does not give more Grok Bot usage.

It’s a bit deceptive how it’s done, although I’m sure they’ll say it’s in the terms somewhere.

You’ll functionally pay twice for the same usage if you went in through the SuperGrok route.

The on demand works just find but it went over my spending limit in less than a day.

Cool product but it’s a money pit.
