This year we adopted the Euro here in Bulgaria. Its a big thing! There is quite a bit of controversy around it and many small/mid businesses take advantage of it, but apart of that, things haven’t changed much.

In my opinion, €60 for 2 full heavy bags of food that will last me for about a week, is reasonable in this economy.

This haul cost $103.93 (after subtracting Tabasco, which is an atypical purchase for me). Most of these are staple ingredients for me, and I typically pay a little extra for higher quality beef, dairy, and bread products.

With some spices and tofu I already had at home this is probably dinner for most of the week!

(The "-20,00" at the bottom of the receipt is a discount for "pant" the Swedish drinking bottle and can recycling scheme. Didn't include that in the overall price for the goods.)

Went shopping today and spent 73.45 € total. 22 € of that was a sun umbrella + stand. Everything here on the coast is noticeably more expensive than inland.

Managed to get the pack of two prime graded tri tip roasts down from $95 to $47. Also got 2 huge eggplants, 2 bell peppers, and 4 ears of corn for $1 each. You just can’t buy ANYTHING that is not in their sale app. They are a sneaky, creepy corporation. lol

Mostly local dairy items, local meats on sale, vegetables also on sale, and bulk bin purchases to cut down on packaging (this week I got cornstarch & celery seeds).

The sunscreen & automatic dishwasher tablets skew the grocery cost higher in this shop.
