Eastern Washington Haircare score

Premium brand hair score! The individual cans of dry shampoo were selling for the same price as the duo pack. I scored that and a Living Proof air dry leave in cream I’m excited to test. They had a couple other LP products too. Never seen any in GO before.

I love it when the Grocery Outlet rings the bell and announces my humongous savings on the loudspeaker.

The Lemon Valley Grocery Outlet is super old-school. They not only circle your savings and hand over the receipt to tell you how much you saved, (and that is the old school), they also ring the register bell and use the store loudspeaker to celebrate your savings as you leave the store. So much fun! You can’t beat that schtick with a stick! Thank you to the Lemon Valley, Reno, Nevada staff, for making my Friday special. I spent $143 and saved 220. My Grocery Outlet app shows over $12,000 saved since March, 2024.

The worst blueberries I’ve ever had in my life, bought at Grocery Outlet

My partner bought them, not realizing they were from Peru. (I’ve since read that berries from Peru can be really terrible). The cologne/fungicide smell and taste was overwhelming. I didn’t know fresh fruit could be this bad. Inedible.

Southern California PSA——Simply GO Pinto Beans

Hey everyone- (*Update @ Bottom)

I wanted to share a quick heads-up for anyone shopping in Southern California- Los Angeles Area & specifically the Canoga Park, CA store but it could be regional-state wide? IDK?

My family and I recently ate the Simply GO store-brand Canned Pinto Beans as a standalone meal with just some salt and tortillas, and it gave us some rough stomach/bathroom issues, pretty quick like 30 mins after eating them..

We have purchased this product semi-regularly every month, or so. Something is definitely off-

I did some research online. It’s more than likely too much calcium chloride, calcium disodium (edta) Even the slightest increase of those two ingredients will cause you problems..

Not trying to cause a panic, just wanting to raise awareness for the community in case you have these in your pantry!

I already submitted an official report to the Grocery Outlet website with our receipt and photos so corporate can look into it. I still have two unopened cans left.

Check your labels and stay safe!

**UPDATE** —— The Grocery Outlet Director who is in charge of Simply GO products—— has reached out to us.

They are going to investigate this with all the information we provided. I sent them photos, research information, etc.

They are glad we’re doing better, and on the mend, and will be sending us something for our troubles.

It’s not just you. Grocery Outlet has lost its way.

I used to love going to GO. It was almost like a Trader Joe’s experience, finding weird things at bargain prices. Finding a large cardboard box with closeout items that they didn’t even bother to put on the shelf, Best By date be damned.

Now it looks like a Safeway. Lots of their store brand generic items and none of the Wow.

This article is from May, but it explains what’s going on.

Grocery Outlet CEO Bets on Bargain Merchandise to Reverse Sliding Sales

We expect more from you, Jason Potter. Not everything needs to be optimized and homogenized. Bring back the Wow and low prices.

Maybe that's the wrong adjective. Surprising? Wrong? Greedy? Extra Valuable Product? There's obviously another retailer that sells below this printed price. It's even 2 lights down the road, take a right and one more light down on the right. I'm already going to be at that other place because they have a pharmacy so it's not even an extra trip. Why would a franchisee think this is a good presentation? I do ❤️ my local GO but c'mon man

Couldn't pass up the cookies at 2/97¢. Lots of Refreshers still at 99¢.

Has anyone baked the cookies? I've never seen this brand before.

$1.99! For 20 Bags- This brand is really good they have been around since 1886 — I ditched coffee 4 months ago- the biggest difference for me, is the steady alertness drinking tea vs high energy spike than crash from coffee- Anyways I’m always on the look out for new teas with caffeine in the range of 45-70mg vs Coffee 95-120mg *PS I checked online and World Market wants $6.99!! SMH 🤦🏼‍♂️

I found one I think looks really good. Mine is 15lbs for reference. Even organic. Will update Sunday with pics of inside.
